I don't know if it was a bad idea, or grossly mismanaged, or just got screwed up because of circumstances beyond anyone's control. Probably a combination of all three.

The fact that the Obama administration is now trying to cover it up is the crime. Obama is illegally withholding subpenaed legitimate evidence from Congress. If it was the other way around, you and all the other Yellow Dogs would be up in arms, but it isn't so it's ok.
