It seems to me that the version of God that Bojulay believes in is more like a force of nature than anything else?
You can't really reason with that entity nor really do anything to effect it. All you can do is either bend to its whims, get out of the way, or be crushed by it.
Is that an accurate description? I'm not saying this in a negative way, btw - I think if there really was some sort of Supreme Being, this would be one of the possible variations of it (ie, one that's all powerful and all knowing, but not benevolent).

My old man was a farmer, and when I was about 4 years old I remember
trying to grasp the concept of how he made money from being a farmer, and
I remember thinking that maybe he would plow for a while and then get
off of his tractor and look around on the ground to see if he had plowed
any up.
I remember thinking that because I had found some coins on the ground.
Point being that our best understanding of God would probably still be
a simple one.
The bible says that no one has seen God but Christ has declared him.
In other words, look at Christ if you want to get the best picture available.
I don't think the devil wanted to take over for God but rather carve out
his own piece of the pie and be his own boss, after all the universe is
a pretty big place. God wasn't having it though. Who knows maybe the devil
was jealous of Christ himself.
Seems that maybe man has something in common with the devil.
All through the bible you see where God makes choices, some he chooses and
some he doesn't. Doesn't seem all that fair, to which God answers, I am God,
I get to have that right.
Back to my first point, whatever God does and however he chooses to do it,
if he is God, he gets to have that right. Whether we like that concept or not
makes no difference in the final reality of things.
Again I find it kind of odd that we understand that same concept in this world,
be it from bosses, governments, parents, the law, but find it difficult to
accept that the supremist of beings would have that supreme right.
The one who created it all in the first place.

Right, I acknowledge the possibility of a Supreme Being is there, but I simply don't believe it to be true (or at least have not seen anything or had any sort of experience to convince me of it).
That being said, again if there is a Supreme Being, it's one of the following three things to me:
Omnipotent + Omniscient: This is the Supreme Being like the one you believe in. All-knowing, all-powerful, but it does whatever it wants on its own agenda with no real care for us.
Omnipotent + Benevolent: This Supreme Being is all-powerful and has good intentions, but since it isn't all-knowing, bad things can and still happen without its knowing.
Benevolent + Omniscient: This Supreme Being has good intentions and is all-knowing, but while it may be powerful, it's not all-powerful and can't fix / prevent all the bad things from happening to us.

I can respect that, Booj, but I have to ask, if you truly believe that Jesus is who the Bible says he is, and that he said what the Bible says he said, why are you here? And why do you have 8 reviews? Not putting you down, I'm really curious. It just seems like it is a strange paradox to have true Bible believer posting in a hooker forum.
And you can believe whatever you want about God or some other Supreme Being. Just don't demand tribute or obedience from me in the name of that God. Don't ask me to give up land in the name of that God. I don't recognize your God as my God.
If it helps you sleep at night, go for it. No problems here.

Bouljay is the biggest self contradiction on this board ... He has memorized his fucking Bible but doesn't pisses on it's teachings.
In MY book, we call that a HYPOCRITE!

Like I said in another thread I don't see any girls on here anymore,
and I only post on here because it's still a lot of fun kicking Assup and
WTF in the groin from time to time, I don't know if I'll post on here
very much longer but for now it's still good for a few laughs.
As to your second point, it really doesn't matter what I think concerning
God but only what is true. My main prayer is to know the truth
whatever it may be, my only real agenda.
If a person can humble themselves to that idea, that I think is a good
beginning, a place to start.
Don't get me wrong though, I'm still a rascal in a lot of ways, every day
is an opportunity for improvement though.

I understand the meaning of hypocrite - lots of us here - but what does "doesn't pisses" mean?
Would it be this - "lot's of guys down at the Cougar High game needed to go to the men's room but since it was out of order someone put up a sign that said 'doesn't pisses'?

Yeah fundamentally, since we don't know in either way, we can only believe what we do and hope to make the best of it.
I generally have no problems with people believing what they want - it's when they try to forcibly push it onto others who don't want to have anything to do with it is when I start having problems.
I'm reminded of the quote that goes something to the effect of "I've got nothing against God, it's his fan club I can't stand." (I do think most Christians are good and decent people, it's just the extremists and loud ones that I find particularly annoying)

It's called a typo, Perry White. Certainly enough to throw you off center.
BTW -- what are you doing posting this time of the day anyway? Shouldn't you be davening?
Thanks for playing, JINO.

Lot's of people on this board accidentally type in "doesn't pisses" but they use the edit function to correct their mistakes. After 11,000 posts, you would think an old guy such as yourself could use that, shlemiel.
