Pretty much proves you're a butt buddy like I said earlier. Why interject into a conversation that has nothing to do with you? Oh that's right, you like the taste of LL's ass in your mouth. Sorry

9th bullet point
• Cost sharing reduction subsidies are only Available On Silver Plans.

A 24 year old can probably get by on a Bronze plan HMO and be comfortable paying $150/month for crap insurance.
Things change at twice that age.
HMO's are a pain in the ass just like trying to find affordable insurance with all the caveats and smoke and mirrors. You've got to get authorization to get a fucking hangnail removed on an HMO. Been there, done that back in the 80's. It ain't worth the hassle. Have a hemorrhoid or some other non life threatening issue they'll have you driving all over Houston til you just get fed up with the process and deal with it on your own.

And you're right, it is about socialism. The OP is about health care costs cutting the deficit. Why is that? Because more people are on their own insurance instead of medicaid. Great! Except that many of us are paying more for less so that those others can get off medicaid though government subsidies paying for private insurance. Out of one pocket into the other... Anyway you look at it it's just income redistribution.

It says that, but that ain't true.

I am thinking that Shamwow's web site is bullshit......notice he doesn't quote/link from the official Healthcare.gov or the IRS web sites .

That's exactly what I just said to you. Cost sharing subsidies are only available on silver plans. No, she can't have a gold plan. Why? because she makes 24k a year. I know people who are living on bronze plans. Silver plans are actually pretty decent. You can choose ones that don't have high deductibles if you expect to go see a doctor often. But I guess you wouldn't know that since you're too scared to even go on their website. "the government will steal my information!" HAHA what a fuckin looney. .

Obamacarefacts is the official information website for the Health Insurance marketplace. Yeah thats it: DENY DENY DENY. Go do your own fucking research if the facts shoved in your face don't suffice.

That's exactly why you need to go back and read what I posted in the first place. It helps to know who you're arguing with. I know that it's socialist and I know that its wealth redistribution. I knew that before Gruber came out and explained it to the idiots in our population. Look at Canada, UK, Australia, Germany, all of them have socialist healthcare plans because they view healthcare as a necessity that everyone in the population deserves. It's working out pretty well for them and that is where the notion for Obamacare came from in the first place. I don't support Obamacare, and I was more apprehensive about it than any of these idiot republicans before it came out. Its turned out to be better than expected, and I'm man enough to admit I was wrong. Although I still don't fully support it.

Keep backing up.
Yes, you got your ass handed to you.
You earlier stated that you "can not" pay more than 9.5% of your income in healthcare premiums. After doing a little research that was proved to be false so you change the narrative to say that you were saying that all along?

Silver plans are decent plans but unaffordable for many as I've proved to you. I'm giving you the real world here not some bullshit on a website designed to convince me otherwise. A person who was taking care of her own healthcare by her own means is now penalized for doing so. You can choose to believe it or not.

Shamwow doesn't know what he is jabbering about. His web site link is bullshit. I doubt it is a "government approved" site. It certainly isn't a .gov site.

The premium subsidy isn't only available on Silver Plans.....Bronze plans are included as well...But the Benchmark for determining the amount of the subsidy is based on the lowest priced Silver Plan in the market place that the applicant resides.

A much clearer explaination is here:
http://kff.org/health-reform/issue-b...-about-health/

Here is really what the cap is about; it has nothing to do with 9.5% cap of a person's income can be spent on healthcare plan.

It is the cap on the premium charged by an insurance company. Not the income of an insured.
  • Pat is 45 years old and has an income in 2014 that is 250% of poverty (about $29,175 per year)
  • Suppose the second-lowest cost silver plan available to Pat in the Marketplace is $280 per month
  • Under the ACA, with an income of $29,175 per year, Pat would have a cap of 8.1% of income for the second-lowest cost silver plan
  • This means that Pat would have to pay no more than $197 per month (8.1% times $29,175, divided by 12 months) to enroll in the second-lowest cost silver plan.
  • The tax credit available to Pat would therefore be $83 per month ($280 premium minus $197 cap)
  • Pat can then apply this $83 per month discount toward the purchase of any bronze, silver, gold, or platinum Marketplace plan available

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

You are hilarious! Im the one backing up? All I said to you was that she could pick a plan without paying more than 9.5% of her income and I proved that to you. That 9.5% is AFTER TAX CREDITS, mind you. Now you can choose to blabber on and make an idiot out of yourself (wait, too late for that) or you can just shut up and sit quietly like the little amateur that you are. What else does your "friend" want to go along with her Platinum plan? would she like a diamond crusted Iphone with that?
Complaining about socialism when you don't even know the definition. CLASSIC

Either you can't read what you post or you are too stupid to understand what I've been saying the whole time. ^^yes this is exactly how it works. This person will not be paying more than 8.1% of his income if he chooses the second lowest cost silver plan. He can still CHOOSE whatever plan he likes. If he wants the super duper platinum motherfucking plan then yes he can have that, but don't expect the "socialist" government to cover it for him.

And Just in the news today...........several states want to shut down their Healthcare Marketplace and roll everyone into the federal marketplace.

State's are realizing Obamacare was a scam and is going to cost their residents and boatload. State's like Arkansas were lied to about the cost.

Look at the map and see who opted out.

The ACA was a Pelosi bailout of California's retirement healthcare plan aka Kaiser.
