I, obviously, don't know what she did in her work, but that might be a "hint"!
"She was an employee of the Idaho National Laboratory near Idaho Falls, Idaho, where she was a nuclear scientist. The laboratory supports the U.S. Department of Energy in nuclear and energy research and national defense.

We should try to do something about it. Too many innocent dead moms and kids and dads, etc.

Probably little to no major crime but here she is with a hand gun in her purse. For what reason? And look at the result. Oh I know just who will jump in ranting about her 2nd admin rights but is it really necessary? This is what you get. And look at another recent story of the police chief who shot his wife in the back because they were sleeping with a gun in their bed. Really? In bed with you? Look what you get.

If I told you she was tested and was barely above "retarded"..now do you understand why she carried a gun AND didnt keep it close to her/locked away?
Why do you need a gun while shopping in a walmart? You don't.
Are you able to use logic/reasoning skills when dealing with a retarded person? no
so the retarded women got shot, so what
On an average day in 2014, 19 people died in car wrecks.... http://www-nrd.nhtsa.dot.gov/Pubs/812055.pdf
should we require licenses to drive, we do so should we outaw driving? oh we have laws to protect each other from bad drivers.
I assume everyone is just a bad driver.,
I look and see these retards drive, as the light turns yellow and they are in the middle of the intersection, now NO ONE can go, we have to wait till their light turns green again...(yes this does happen)
the solution is to stop paying for people to live, take away safety nets, I hate paying for everyone to live.
what happened when I fed the STARVING cats/dogs/Jon Gosselin animals outside my home?
more of them showed up
is giving the poor money/shelter/medicine going to cause them to get off the teat of the government?
or does it cause them to grow in number?
doesnt seem like its the answer.
yeah you have the right to live, liberty, pursiut of happiness, not a right to my money cause you are too stupid to do drugs/not get insurance/have kids and dont have money
I love people who complain about walmart not paying REPLACEABLE workers enough
it reminds of of Jesse complaining to walter that gus fring was only paying them $1.5millions and was making 64x that amount...

Well, we know she wasn't "tested" and determined to be "barely above retarded."
Complacent and casual, yes. Careless and negligent it appears as though. Perhaps one day the surveillance video will reveal more than was reported, and the level of her neglect might be elevated above "simple negligence."
As a practical matter I don't leave any of my personal shit in my shopping basket unattended for a moment, except for an umbrella occasionally, but it is usually buried under a bunch items to make it "out of sight" and "out of mind."
And I would NEVER turn my back on a firearm. But I don't live "in the country" now.
There were a couple of cops recently that died in NYC, who were also. Was it there fault they died? Actually not. Their complacency allowed them to remain in situation and place were they were vulnerable.
Sometime, if you haven't already, peruse one of the threads on "Who owns what?" ..... or "Who carries where?'" on this board (or any other).
The testosterone flows ... "boys with toys" ....
...... it's remarkable when and where they carry! Or where they say they do, anyway.
Is it "girls with curls"?

Boys with toys? Two year olds, Dude!
Quit trying to make excuses. This whole scenario just BEGS for this type of thing to happen and happen often.
And it does.

I'm not trying to make "excuses" for anyone.
Seriously, either you simply don't care what people post, or you do have reading comprehension problems. Personally, I think concluding she is retarded is more along the lines of "excuses" .... what she did was dumb.
IMO given her background with firearms (as reported) and her intelligence (as reported), mixed with a NEW carry purse, it seems "complacency" is the best explanation for her carelessness and laxness in watching her shit.
That's not an excuse. That's trying to understand how it happened, so that someone can avoid that circumstances again. Here's an example:
If you look at the age of cops who are shot in the the line of duty you will notice that they have been officers for a number of years ... close to 10 ... or better on the average...... they are not fresh out of the academy. It's "complacency" .... carelessness growing out of "it's not going to happen to me."
My 2 cents: You don't keep your fucking weapon in a purse or fanny pack.
Either wear it .... or put in the trunk when going into the store .....or leave it at home.
Now, if that sounds to you like I'm making "EXCUSES" for someone, then ...
.. .you do have problems. OR it's one of your lame-ass attempts at demonizing someone!

We agree that victim was not retarded. We also agree she was a total dipshit.
So what's your excuse?

I wonder what percentage of women who do carry weapons carry them in their purse. I would bet the majority. So easy and I would think more comfortable compared to wearing
it.

I like the comment about the John Gosselin animals outside....I kept a bunch of cats alive at the local hardware store for two years until the city took notice. During that time I trapped, spayed, and neutered about 20 of them on my own dime and a local animal rescue place. I kept them half way socialized and hope that they found good homes. We could do the same with the insane or mentally challenged. Hey! We tried that already back in the 1920s but they went so far as to sterlize people who were black, indian, and sluts. Way to go progressive democrats!

How many of you guy's were allowed to touch your mother's purse? I know the article says the kid was 2 yo but I don't remember actually being allowed to touch my mom's purse. I don't even recall being told NOT to touch it. I probably touched it once and got the shit beat out of me.
Stand in line at the supermarket and you see kids...mainly girls..get into the mom's purse, er, "fun bag" all the time. "Mommy, your phone is ringing", "Honey, get me my cigarettes", "Mommy's in pain, get my script", "Hand me my wallet...go ahead and swipe the card...do you remember the PIN? Good girl!"
I'm not kidding. This is the perfect crime for the husband or whoever gave her the purse. Load up on the life insurance for the wife and kids and you'll be a rich man.
Did she have the purse sitting with the kid in the little seat on the shopping cart? With the purse open? Incredible.
Lex you wrote about fanny packs. You and I know > 50% of these guy have some wheel gun in them. However, most are old and don't have any kids around. I also invite anyone to touch one of these old men's fanny packs and see what happens. Their grandchildren know not to touch their GD's fanny pack.
This case is more about estrogen than it is about testosterone.

In the past week 15 people have been shot in Washington DC. Firearms, as we all know, are all but banned in Washington DC. How is that possible?
