Let's stick to the subject - the 95 year old man who somehow was a threat to the cops.
Can you answer any of the questions above?
|
I was 100% correct. You don't like the answer.
I took most of it (the "factual" part) right out of the article on which you base your opinion.
And BT, will chime in on that one ... he used to use the Houston Chronicle OP-ED pages.
Now he just blows it out his ass with cutesy LITTLE sayings and smiley faces.
If you just want to bash the police, then just say it. Don't twist words and remake stories.
That's for the likes of WTF and BT....and company.

Yes, we already established that when I wrote "No, I don't like the answer because you keep dodging the questions I asked."

You took most of what out of the article? You haven't said anything of substance. You've just said you don't trust the media. And then you engaged in ridiculous conjecture (NOT facts) about what a lethal killer a 95 year old invalid can be with his cane.

I did not twist any words or remake any story. I took my actual facts right out of the article. Unlike you, who is imagining all kinds of ridiculous ways a 95 year old nursing home patient in a walker can be a threat to able-bodied cops.
And I do not bash cops out of habit. I just recognize a bullshit cover story when I read it. I only bash cops that are out-fo-control bullies who have no business being in that job.

Remember from the article it said the 95 yo had a 12 inch butcher knife? I agree with exNYer that THEORETICALLY a group of cops should be able to restrain a 95yo with anything other than a firearm...
However, I also agree with LL that depending on the single article may not be wise.
Parts of it just doesn't pass the smell test. Guy supposedly had a butcher knife but offspring says no. A 95 yo can't be taken down by a taser.
I'm surprised AARP isn't demanding an investigation. Where's the grey panther version of Al Sharpton? I know, probably dead.
BTW, if I recall correctly Lou Thesz killed two people in the old folks home until he was put out to pasture. And that was what was reported. You know who Lou Thesz is don't you?
Edit: exNYer, in Houston we had this guy in an all white suit called Marvin Zindler running around reporting 'facts' for decades. His credibility was not as immaculate as his suit.

There is little "THEORETICAL" about police work.....
.... all too frequently the news media feeds the public notion of a "routine" police contact.
Shifting the responsibility of the consequences of a contact by police during which there is a threat of aggravated assault on the police officers is remarkably short sighted ...
.. it's always easy to "re-evaluate" a response AFTER the incident is over.
Was the "off-spring" present during the incident?
FYI .. only saw a "step-daughter" commenting .... about her "step-father"!
As for being in a wheel chair ..... ??? ... My point is, and was, .....made by the LE instructor ...
"If you don't have all of the facts, it's hard to judge someone."
And on a "bad-ass" hooker board it may be tempting to appear the "outlaw" for the ladies' attentions.
But it probably won't get you a discount, any more than there personal LE friends get one.

One could say that on every story, including the Zimmerman trial.
One could say that for you commenting on Obama and any number of subjects. Let us take Libya, you seem to comment on that daily, yet you have not been briefed by intelligence community and yet again you judge. You are coming off as a hypocrite.....again.

Marvin was not even 95...would you use a taser gun on him if he came at you with a cane? Tell me you are not that big of a pussy.
The fact that the man was 95 years old seals the deal. It was not reported that he had a gun. No gun, no taser. Unless of course you do not think you can handle a 95 year old man with a fucking cane. You have to taser him and then shot him with a bean bag stun gun.
They should all be fired or assigned to South Central.
Aren't you fuckers the same one's who bitch about TSA patting down old folks?

Yeah, I don't buy the kitchen knife story.
Folks in a nursing home don't typically have access to the kitchen. They get their food served to them on a tray and typically have plastic utensils.
So where did he get a kitchen knife? And where did it disappear to?
Again, it's a smoke screen to deflect from the fact they killed a 95 year old invalid.

Exactly, and that is why the family and others are disputing publicly what the police are saying. I don't believe it either honestly.
