Honestly, this is a great thread. It reminds me of why I read reviews and pay strict attention to everything in them. The hobby doesn't have to be Russian Roulette, and this website gives a huge advantage over the odds. I imagine that deep down everyone just wants to have fun for many, many years, but the unnecessary risks some people take, I can only attribute to a kind of addiction. Not just sex addiction but like a risk addiction. It's scary because people like that tend to take others down with them, and nobody wants that!

Ten years ago I would have been one of the many who ignored the signs and taken a dip in this pool. Absent irrefutable evidence, which rarely presents itself, I would have chosen to believe everything was on the up and up.

Then one night I had an encounter that shook me. The girl was old enough to know better (thank God for that at least), but she found herself in a situation beyond her control. I didn't have sex with her, but I did pay her fee because I didn't want to be responsible for what would have happened if she had not collected. Since then I've been much more careful about who I see, although I have dabbled in grey areas (where do studios fit into this?) on rare occasions.

Since I've been guilty of seeing pimped providers in the past, I have a hard time taking a moralistic approach to the debate, although I appreciate the arguments of those that do. I therefore issue my cautions based on personal security, since I feel I'm on safer ground making that case.

My 2 cents, fwiw.

PS: I'm glad we're having the discussion here. I don't recall in my aspd heyday that folks felt they could openly talk about such things.

^^^^^^^^ One of the few statements that is true and relevant to this thread. I have seen AS a few times and she was nothing but nice to me. But when she put someone's life in danger (while participating in an illegal activity - irony noted), that's an inexcusable behavior and this thread is needed, in addition to the alert.

There has been a lot of providers who were speculated to be dealing with similar situations like AS, but a lot of them are still around and doing well. So for some of you to say, you knew this is going to end this way, well good for you. I sure didn't and i have been hobbying for over 10 yrs just in the Dallas area. Like Tara said, it took a really wrong turn and really fast.

Most don't mind anyone (Hobbiest or Provider) speaking their mind. There is a subtle difference between speaking one's mind and lecturing like my mother. As far as I read, none of the guys who got affected by this situation cried that they were victimized. Even if they did, there is no need for lectures and yeah I saw it coming miles away sorta stuff. Not going to help anyone or anything.

It is really bothering me.

Ditto on the video bothering me. And then the one girl answers the phone like everything is fine. And I'm talking gorilla pimps - I can understand when someone has help from the running the business aspect.

I have some delusion most girls I meet enjoy this and are free to make their own choices. To think they're not and I'm supporting a girl being used/abused is sickening. It's been said before but it's so true - I wish I knew who was truly independent versus being kept.

I do think there is more reporting of the signs then there was 5+ years ago. That's an improvement. Information exchange is the best we can do. Rational presentation of the facts without letting our passions get in the way is the best way to improve the situation.

Actually it got old early as some provider wanted to be on her soapbox. Again.

That was exactly my point. Almost everyone who saw her up until that final day never had a problem. There are quite a few pimped girls here and guys never know it.

The danger didn't start until the pimp started crashing the room during sessions. And instead of blaming the alert guys they should have been thanked for coming here and alerting others.
