(I have no idea WTF happened to cause the duplicate post. After I hit the submit button, the system appeared to have hiccupped, and then a duplicate post appeared out of thin air 18 minutes later!)

I didn't save the link on account of you, professor. The FairTax is an issue that comes up from time to time in the investment community. People occasionally ask me about it, so I've saved a number of links to sites discussing it and many other issues so that I can have easy access to answers when investors ask questions. Although this is a terribly tragic event for the young woman, I didn't see any indication of inappropriate behavior on the part of the police. During those initial moments, they could not possibly have had any idea of what they might be dealing with. For all they knew at the time, they could have been right in the middle of a terrorist assault on the government, or at the very least, a crazed, murderous individual intent on creating a lot of carnage.

Postpartum depression can produce some very strange symptoms. Back in the 1980s, we had a young woman in the office who suffered from it. She seemed to steadily lose her ability to concentrate, and then suddenly sunk into a state of extremely deep depression. She required rather prolonged treatment, but was eventually (I think) OK.
