Lusty, our intelligence services spouted this information about what the Russians did I guess you could say I am respouting the information. I am not going to cut and paste links for information that is easily accessible to everybody!
I Google searched" Russian bounties on American soldiers in Afganistan " or something to that effect, and right at or near the top of the list was whatdayaknow, the New York Times article and it was pretty damning. The intelligence services have followed the money from the Russians bank accounts to the Taliban controlled bank accounts!
It was important enough to be included in the president's daily brief, the most important thing that happens to that asshole everyday!
And of course he disregarded it!
My life and every other person in our military depends on those people to try to get it right!
And lusty, unless the opposition openly admits to what they are doing, the truth can take years to come out!
Remember Glasnost?
At that time alot of truths came out that we didn't have the answer to until then!
But the russians had to openly admit it to pass your litmus test!
The american military personnel current and former IS NOT basing their opinion on some liberal media outlet! They are basing it in the opinion of the spooks that found this followed it as far as it can go, as is often the case!
For him Trump to say he wasn't briefed on this is not only a lie, but disingenuous. Every military person now serving and former believes in the people that do the dark work!
Not this asshole!
And he had a duty to pursue it!
The motherfucker lies about everything! If he told me that it was daytime, I would make damn sure to go look out the window!
And yes of course I recall the Soviet war of aggression and expansionism on those goat herders!
They fought the beginning with rusty 303s and shit like that!
And in the end, were knocking Hinds out of the sky like safes dropped out of a window of a skyscraper! It was great, the missle attacked the rotors because of the heat source of the engine, and they went their separate ways, rotors and helo!
And two commies would bite it hard!
When I went in the military it was in 78, being a soldier was not a popular thing!
We were often short of personal, and many troops at that time learned many jobs during the same enlistment!
And I was not very good at my primary MOS, the same reason I dont play video games today, engaging the enemy with the HAWK system was akin to a very lethal
video game.
So I was often given other jobs one of those jobs in addition to dealing with the aforementioned NBC room for some time, I was also on a redeye team, the redeye was in comparison to the stinger a POS.
It was the predecessor to the stinger, we had a hard time taking down a drone not even performing evasive maneuvers.
So I can only imagine trying to take out a experienced pilot performing maneuvers!
I did train with inert stingers in the dome, in Stuttgart before my first enlistment ran out!
So I was fascinated when I heard of the CIA stinger program, and how incredibly effective not only the program was but the missile itself! And when I watched Chrlie Wilsons war, and saw actual footage if the stinger in combat well I was impressed!
And lusty, do you think that our military forgot about all of the aid the Russians supplied the Vietnamese?
Why do you think we supplied the Afghans?
If you had taken the time to serve in the armed forces, you would understand the relationship between the military and out intelligence services!
There is often no concrete proof!
But you have to treat it as if there is is because not to do so get people killed!
So you can hold your breath with for Putin to confess, I got all I need!
And Lets not forget that a few months ago that we were arguing about what and when this asshole knew about the virus!
And I said that we had intelligence assets in place that told bonehead what was going on!
Everybody said that China was not sharing info, and I had to ask the question, since when do we America to wait on a hostile foreign
government to supply us with info?
Remember that?
I insisted that he knew almost as soon as people started dying in numbers in Wuhan, and everybody was telling me I was full of shit!
We now know thanks to Woodard, that he knew as quickly as I said he did!
And this was at the time in spite of China recently purging "catching and killing" quite a few of our intelligence assets we had on the ground there!
But what did he do, nothing!
Fuck him!
So dont act like I am un-or misinformed!
Soliders have a different litmus test than you!
But please do feel free to comment on the traitorious Confederate flags flown at his rally's or showing up at voting stations, with what amount to the same basic weapon that I carried while serving!

Beyond that, you're saying you have plenty of time to spout your beliefs - but no time to verify them or look up whether they're well-founded or not? You're not even a wee bit curious to find out if you could be spouting misinformation?

If so, what's the point? As Daniel Patrick Moynihan famously said, "Everyone is entitled to his own opinion, but not his own facts." I could rattle off factual reasons why I think many of your points are wrong, but you don't seem to care or be open to having your views challenged, so why bother?

I'll mention just one example - you keep claiming the Russians offered the Taliban a bounty to kill our troops in Afghanistan. As if this was a proven fact. It's not. It was a rumor that made its way into trump's daily intel briefing along with hundreds of other items. The liberal media in their desperation to smear trump picked up on it saying he ignored it and therefore he doesn't care about protecting our troops because, well, he's Putin's puppet and a traitor as Commander-in-Chief. That's slanderous and outrageous and beyond stupid for many reasons - but the smear seems to have worked in turning vets like yourself against trump.

Barely thirty years ago, the Taliban's predecessors (mujahideen) were killing scores of Russians by blasting their helicopters out of the skies using American-supplied Stinger missiles. You think the Russians have forgotten? Today they get money from Pakistan's ISI and Saudi wahhabi religious groups so why would they need Putin's help? And what's the point of doing it in the form of a bounty? It's obvious trump already wants us to get the fuck out of that shithole after 18 years. And if a bounty was offered, then why haven't our losses in Afghanistan gone up? All it takes is a quick internet search to discover they've been flat since 2015 (at less than 22 fatalities a year).

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Unit...in_Afghanistan

But yeah, it makes a sensational headline and maybe if the fake dishonest mainstream media pedals a story like that hard enough it will be accepted as fact by a lot of vets and active-duty military who might otherwise be sympathetic to what Trump has done for them.

Watching you Trumpers self destruct over the coming weeks and months will be the best part of an otherwise horrible 2020.

First up: Rudy and his press conference at the "four seasons," across the street from a dildo shop, with the first "witness of vote counting fraud" being a convicted sex offender.

MAGA, ya'll.

He's also going to be unemployed in short order.

Not to worry, just like bad breath he'll be back in 2024!
He'll be running on the authoritarian ticket!
They can vote for him then!

There is a compelling argument to be made that the very smartest thing people who love their liberty can do is spend time and money moving the democratic party on guns. Because if the Republican party actually does that again (Trump), it's not a party. It's a cult. And, when you have to go kill the zombie eventually, it would help to have more people not firearm illiterate by intent or effect.

I have no intent myself of spending a lifetime voting for democrats (not of a preferred demographic, with guns, monied--we have disagreements on some major things), but having watched the shitshow of this post-election behavior from Trump and the Republicans, generally? Trump is openly advocating counter-majoritarian fascism with a pinch of getting hundreds of thousands killed by the pandemic--and a significant number of the party who have been re-elected aren't stomping it. Fuck that. I'm old enough to have "worked" in West Germany. I've smelled authoritarian shit up close. This stuff is every bit as dangerous as the bernie/AOC socialist stuff except that it's being done by the mainstream of the Republican party--for fucking Trump.

One of the more disturbing things that I saw, was yard signs saying Trump for Eva!
Good God where do these people come from?
Talk about drinking the Koolaid!
I do not have a problem with Americans owning AR15s, I have a problem when they show up within rifle shot of the polling stations in their moronic idea of voter intimidation!
They should have all been arrested!
And yes I agree, the Dems need to start a basic marksmanship training course!
Maybe they can pick up some M1s from the NRA!

Lot of that is trolling. It's the significant number who aren't which is worrisome.

It's 100% true - and you know it! Only a fucking idiot would suggest the fact that trump increased his net worth by tenfold (from $300 million to $3 billion, roughly) doesn't amount to a hill of beans because his father gave him the seed money to start with.

Funny how you didn't even question my reference to Joe Biden's corruptly obtained wealth - because you know it's also true! Trump is a builder who generated wealth in the private sector. Biden is a leech who sucks on the public teet and enriches his corrupt, talentless family by selling access to his public office.

I've explained many times in the Political Forum why I detest dim-retards. The worst part is the way they call themselves "progressives" when the truth is they spend all of their time tearing down the accomplishments of the risk takers and wealth creators who actually drive our progress as a society.

Did you notice how Pfizer announced today it is ready to deliver a covid vaccine that is 90% effective? They did it in 8 fucking months! Looks like the private sector just hit another home run! Oh shit! Does this mean we have to give trump credit for doing something right? Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't Operation Warp Speed part of Donald Trump's response to the virus? If Biden was in charge, he would have held up federal funding for a vaccine until Pfizer put his doped-up son Hunter on its Board!

Here ya go, tannana. From your posts, it's pretty obvious you're one of those worthless hecklers in the cheap seats!

I've made this same point for years but in a different context. It's been apparent to me for some time that dimotards HATE business. Nothing infuriates them more than a Republican who has achieved success in business. They belittle and nitpick and try to tear down the business record of every GOP candidate that has the gonads to run for public office.

Exhibit I - Mitt Romney was a very successful private equity partner at Bain Capital. I recall something like 19 out of every 20 deals he was involved with at Bain were winners. Whether they turned around failing companies or jump-started new ones, each success boosted jobs, incomes and tax revenues in their local communities. They took risks with each deal. They went to bat and didn't hide in the dugout. Bain's batting average, while not perfect, was quite respectable. So how in the fuck does Mr. Community Organizer - someone who never met a payroll in his fucking life - get to run around screaming "You didn't build that!" and spend tainted Soros money on distorted political ads spotlighting the 1 out of 20 deals that failed?

Exhibit II - Then 4 years later along comes Donald Trump. While he may not have been the most exemplary businessman - he cut his teeth in NYC when the mafia ran the building trades - he also had a largely successful track record. The fact that 4-5 of his businesses declared bankruptcy might be damning if he had no successes to offset them. But if he built 50+ skyscrapers and 90% of them performed well, then his track record looks entirely different. The only thing you can count on is that dim-retards will always scream about the failures and ignore the successes.

Now I could shrug and say that's just politics, but what galls me is this - the people who do the heckling from the cheap seats are in most cases a bunch of fucking losers who stayed in the dugout all their lives! They were too timid or lazy or stupid to step up and bat! Fake news toadies, sycophants, swamp dwellers, political hangers-on - they all played it safe. They never earned the right to criticize, let alone foster intense and irrational hatred of, business. If you don't know what it means to struggle to meet a fucking payroll, then shut the fuck up. And that goes for every one of the dimotard-socialist numbnuts who are currently running or planning to run for President.

Give me a fucking break. You know nothing about fascism. West Germany has been a functioning democracy since it elected Konrad Adenauer in 1949. Your claim to be old enough to know fascism is a lie and an insult to my late family members who actually fought in WW2 and risked their lives to rid Europe of fascism.

Here's a book I recommend for you, tannana. Read it and you might learn something about how to recognize where the real threat of fascism lies today:

Lusty, FYI Pfizer is one of the companies that didn't take any federal money. I'll give Trump Credit when you admit he fucked up in the first place. He's such a smart business man, he would have realized how bad it was going to get (if two people in the early meetings sold millions of dollars in stock) and he did nothing

Well golly gee, I'm just puzzled as to why Eric, Ivanka and Don Jr. didn't engage in the same conduct as Hunter did if there was nothing wrong with it. All 3 of them could have offered their influence-peddling services to corrupt foreign companies around the globe over the last 4 years. They could've joined numerous foreign corporate boards and received millions of dollars just for being a trump. I'm sure the mainstream media would have been ok with that.

You're wrong about Pfizer not taking any fed money. They eschewed R&D funding but signed a manufacturing contract back in July. They'll receive $1.95 billion as soon as they pony up the first 100 million doses of their new vaccine.

How can any intelligent observer sit here and claim trump "did nothing"? Let's revisit the timeline. The first case of an American testing positive for covid-19 was in January. By the end of that month, Trump shut down all airline flights to/from China. The first confirmed US death from covid occurred on February 29. Less than 2 weeks later, Trump declared a national emergency that essentially shut down the economy. Shutting down a $22 trillion economy is not a step to be taken lightly. It would have been hard to justify, either as a matter of public policy or politically to the American people, doing something as drastic as that prior to a single US fatality.

Once we went into lockdown in mid-March, Trump did plenty of things. He consulted with all of the state Governors to see what their needs were in terms of PPE, ventilators, hospital beds, etc. and rushed to furnish them. Fuck, even dim-retard Governors like Cuomo, Murphy and Newsome were grateful:

Do I think Trump's handling of the crisis was perfect? Of course not! He could have done better in managing the development & rollout of testing and he should have been more circumspect in his rhetoric. But only a moron would describe his actions as if he "did nothing" and say he needs to "admit he fucked up".

In what specific way did Trump "shut down the economy?" It's a rhetorical question. He did not shut down the economy.

He lied about the pandemic for months, even recently saying that it would be over by the election, doubling down on the hoax BS. Governors "were grateful" because he threatened them that they had to be if they wanted any federal aid. What a Turd. Such a relief that he's done. Still sad that 70 million Americans were either racist enough, dumb enough, or indifferent enough to think that its a good idea for him to get another term.
