My prediction is even if the Texans beat Indy here, that's as far as they progress in the playoffs.
Their Oline isn't playoff caliber. Their offensive coordinator needs replaced...or whoever is calling the plays. Even though Watson got better as the season went on, he holds on to the ball too long and takes too many hits.

The Colts did not look good in their win over the Titans. The Titans were just that bad. And with Brady finally starting to look human, I think there is a chance. Imma go ahead and get my hopes up. Oh, and assuming no one gets hurt against the Colts.

The Colts can still kick our asses. Luck is come back player of the year and dangerous as hell. His strong point is our weak point. We cannot defend the pass.
Brady is still damn good but he has no one who can get open. That's what's making the Patriots look vulnerable but if they use Sony Michel and their other RB on the pass...they will kick your ass.

And this is why a Patriots vs Chiefs, or, a Patriots vs Saints game will be quite interesting.
I have bets against Houston, and against Saints, with two of the gals.

The Texans are being taken apart by the Colts. Kareem Jackson and several other key players are not playoff caliber. The offensive coordinator needs to be replaced. Not only is he going to get Watson hurt, he'll get Hopkins hurt. I'm not impressed with Watson either. He's picked up some bad habits over this season.
This is partly a Rick Smith legacy issue that may not get resolved unless we drop a couple of big contracts or cut loses.

The Texans' offense clearly needs a better O-Line and a second weapon opposite Hopkins. Deshaun will learn and get better, he saw in the white uniform today what a true stud playoff QB looks like.
Give Luck credit: he just surgically dissected the Texans in the first half. The second half the Colts were just running out the clock and not attacking, else he would have had 400 yards passing. Mr. Luck is on his way to being the best in the game.

Gotdamn Texans.......
Colts came out attacking like they did in their second meeting. Texans couldn't match their intensity in either phase. Game was over by the end of the second quarter. I know in the back of my mind these muthafuckas weren't gonna make it past the first round.
I'll be pulling for the Chiefs to beat the Colts' ass!

As far as the Colts you were right bruh! That's exactly what happened! They kicked our asses in our house again! And Luck is becoming a beast!
Your second point makes both the Ravens ands Chargers look better. They both have a defense strong enough to stop the Patriots. We'll see if that happens.

Will be interesting to see how far the KC Chiefs go this year - they are another one of those great teams, but fizzle in the playoffs.
By the way - I don't recall a big debate to remove the Chiefs name from this team. I guess it's only the possible pejorative names that get called into question - Redskins, fighting Sioux, etc.

If Kareem Hunt hadn't been kicked off the team, KC would be a lock to be the Superbowl champs.

On any other team, performances or lack there of, would get people fired on Monday. Let's just see if it's the same old same old from Cal or did he actually learn from his father's errors.

The Texans are pure frauds. They built their record on playing garbage QBs. Osweiler, Kessler, Colt McCoy, Peterman, Josh Allen Darnold. Then benefited from coaches making bad decisions. They played the #1 easiest schedule based on passing offenses in 2018. You can trace their current problems to 2014 when the Texans drafted Clowney #1 instead of Khalil Mack and for the first pick in the second round took that total bust Xavier Su'a-Filo instead of Jimmy Garoppolo. The result is that in 2017 the Texans did not have a first or second round draft pick and the Texans were left with a terrible O line while the Colts drafted Quenton Nelson who handled Clowney pretty easily all game.
Now the team has no answer at DC or OC, no O line and no speed at DB. All the fools on 610 in the morning are talking about how the Texans have 2 second round picks as if it was some sort of gifts from the gods. That will help but we have too many issues for a second second round pick to do much.
Next year the Texans play a first place division schedule with real QBs so I expect a blood bath.

Excellent points.
The only bright spot is that Rick Smith doesn't return - or I hope he doesn't return.
It used to be you could pick up some decent O Lineman in the second round. Rebuilding a line is a stretch however.
The bigger problem is the Offensive Coordinator and Deshaun Watson. I don't see Watson as being a top 6 NFL quarterback that can get you to a Superbowl. Building a team specifically around his skill set even with a better defense won't get you far. Yes, a better O-line will keep him from being hit and open up the running game but he's going on the injured reserve again running QB options and holding onto the ball waaaaay to long. This is going to be like Kareem Jackson all over again - spend a number 1 draft pick on a guy that's going to progress into being a mediocre player 7 years from now.
