An Open Letter to Glenn Beck and other Cruz supporters:
I’m for the moment going to overlook your insults and histrionics and try to explain why I can’t vote for Ted Cruz. I support Trump, but even if you could convince me not to vote for him, I’d just avoid voting, vote Constitution party, or write in someone.
You won’t have an honest conversation about Ted Cruz. But real people have real questions and misgivings, and they’ve been around for months and you’ve never addressed even one.
I must start with Heidi. It was you who mentioned “The first first lady who had a porn shoot”, so I think it is fair to point out Heidi would be “The first first lady who would still be an employee of a Wall Street institution – Goldman Sachs”. She is merely on leave. Why not quit outright? If Ted Cruz is in the Senate or even in the White House for the next decade, is she still going to stay “on leave”? This is a huge conflict of interest. You went through a caller about TARP. I know Goldman Sachs opinion on TARP, and I must assume Heidi Cruz shares it. If she wants to be a high-powered executive on Wall Street instead of a first lady – like Nancy Reagan, not like Hillary Clinton – remember Hillarycare? – she should divorce Ted and resume her career, and I don’t say that lightly as Divorce is a terrible thing. But it is worse for her to remain in this gray zone with ties to Wall Street when we are likely to see an economic crisis of epic proportions.
When I think of originalist Constitution, the last organization I would think about is the Council on Foreign Relations, and even worse, the document co-authored by Heidi and praised by Ted on the North American Union. NAFTA on steroids. Mush together our “living document” constitution that means abortion on demand, the Canadian charter of rights where you can’t quote Leviticus without being arrested and whatever they have in Mexico, and replace what our founders created with that. Ted does not wish to talk about it, but I look at it as a more vile document than anything I can think of from any other candidate on either side. I need to know if Ted has repudiated it.
Ted Cruz has listed a few things he would do on his first day in office. He mentions he wishes to close down various departments including the IRS. If that is where his heart is at, he should promise to pardon everyone in prison or has a felony conviction they served for any form of Tax evasion. He should pardon the Hammonds, the Bundys, and the rest from Malheur and any farmer, rancher, miner, or anyone else who violated the FWS, BLM, EPA, or other stupid laws – I’ll give Ted a year to fix the system, but he needs to send the strongest message about removing power from these agencies and a long list of people who would be pardoned – A plenary constitutional power of the executive – would immediately show he is serious about it. I’ve listed some.
Same with a short list of SCOTUS nominees. I want to know precisely whom he would want on the court in the order he would appoint them so we can start vetting them.
I want to know what he is going to do to greatly reduce Abortion – our homeland holocaust – in his first year. Not wait until the courts and congress aligns. George W Bush had majorities in the house and senate. At the end of his first year in office, maybe only a half million babies will be slaughtered and sold for parts instead of a million – but I demand to know how he is going to fix this – and I’d add Gay Marriage, except the pardon power would work there – A new Kim Davis should be pardoned before she gets to the sally port at the jail.
Then there’s the deficit and the debt. We have a bunch of huge cost overrun toys that are useless for 21st century war – we are still fighting WW2 and the cold war and lots of people are getting rich – and Ted wants to increase spending? What is Ted going to do about entitlements. If Ted is really honest and going to cut Medicare and Social Security, tell us now.. The numbers right now don’t add up, no more than they do for Sanders. Ted can present the first year’s budget now – again I can wait a few days, and don’t need to know every detail, but you are going to have to hack huge chunks off – Make government radically smaller. So where, exactly? Ted wants to close departments, add them up. Cut taxes, makes the deficit worse. Sell off the federal lands to the states or people – that would fix the BLM and deficit at the same time.
Finally there is all the cronyism and corruption in politics. You complain that Trump paid bribes the last 20 years and bought influence from everyone and he had to just to get anything done. Cruz and company were and are on the other side – they were the ones paid – both Republicans and Democrats. I’m waiting for Prosecutor Ted Cruz that argued a clerical error adding 14 years for stealing a calculator to say he will throw half of Manhattan into federal prison for corruption, bribery, fraud, including his Wife’s employer if necessary to end that system. You’ve been around all that time. There’s patronage and corruption in Texas – did Ted go after ANY of that? Will he go after it – the lobbyists, the defense contractors, the corrupt Generals who approve a weapons system, then get a million dollar consulting job after retiring. The Congressmen and senators that do the same? This is the flip side of the Pardons. I want him and his DoJ and AG to clean out the Aegean Stables. It needs a Hercules. Ted has barely addressed the cespool.
I do not want him to “study” this. He may not know much now so I can give him a few days to consider, but I need to know NOW – no weaseling, no “if it seems prudent”, no “if nothing changes”, a simple and direct list with a Yes, I promise upon my God and my sacred honor to fight for these things, or a simple, “No, you won’t know exactly what you are getting until I’m in”.
I don’t want these concerns dismissed. Pooh-pooh the Goldman Sachs and CFR and I’ll stick with Trump – you need to address it. Keep deniable ambiguity with the proposals – it is one thing to promise to close something, it is another to burn their power with pardons on day one, but if he isn’t willing to “not cooperate”, or fears the Democrats will shut down the Government there is no point in electing him.
You yourself point out it is too late and we cannot have any half-measures. No compromise. We need a D-Day to storm the beaches and drive the evil out. Not more gradual studies. No more Vichy compromises. No more Weimar Republicans saying you must keep us back-stabbers in power to avoid something worse while they destroy the Country for the elite. No more Agenda 21/2030 encroachment by a slow drip, drip, drip (say isn’t the North American Union part of that?).
We replaced Boehnor not with Webster but with Ryan. We see and expect the same thing with Cruz. Reagan had Bush as VP and collected many advisers who would have been comfortable with Gerald Ford – and Sandra Day O’Connor wrote Casey so Roe was NOT overturned. We don’t want a single neo-con warmonger to get us into another half dozen quagmires. We don’t want more entitlements (Medicare part-D no negotiation with Big Pharma was W-Bush). We don’t want more immigrants for a decade or two except for a few really bright libertarian, constitutional minded people who are already fully Americans in heart and mind.
If you and/or Ted can convince me he won’t be a pawn of Goldman Sachs or the CFR, and if I can believe he will do radical change by making radical proposals he promises to do even if it offends Wall Street, K Street and McConnell and Ryan swoon, and the millions of Bureaucrats that will lose their jobs, I can consider a switch. Right now I only have the word that he really is different – pinky promise! – just like Romney, McCain, and George W Bush who also was “evangelical”.
I have written this here so it can be copied by my fellow Trump supporters when a Cruz supporter says we are blind or uninformed. You and Ted need to answer the questions, and the vision of Cruz’ America, his answers and promises need to be as clear and as bold and as unequivocal, un-Politically Correct, more honest, and better than what Trump has promised.
How is Ted Cruz going to make America again even greater than Trump? If you can answer that question credibly instead of insulting Trump and his supporters we will listen. We are listening. But what we are hearing are only abusive accusations and insults toward us, not just Trump. Insulting Trump is not an argument for Cruz.
Start here. Answer my honest questions, or even come up with a better list of suggestions as to the better things Cruz will actually accomplish – not guesses, and then we can talk about it.
If you don’t wish to answer questions honestly, or have a discussion, or insult us by saying “Trump is Hitler and you are all Brownshirts”, don’t bother. Just go away. You are more blind in your support of Cruz than any Trump supporter. Trump supporters will admit Trump has grave faults, but it is a package. Cruz supporters need to start by admitting he isn’t perfect, then looking honestly.
Postscript – I don’t care if the Enquirer article is true or not. That is the thing about Trump supporters, we know every candidate is human, not an angel or saint. We want to know what they will do, how they will act, whether they will help the little guy, the honest, hard working, often Christian, salt of the earth American Citizen, or whether they will continue the elite, wall street, k street plantation pandering and patronage.
“The Vampire Squid”, Goldman Sachs, is in the middle of the corrupt system and goes to bed with Ted each night.
I don’t want a welfare check of government sponsored retraining. I don’t want to work to support my family and a half dozen “refugees”. I don’t want to worry about paying a traffic ticket on time while watching an illegal alien in a truck with no insurance and broken tail light be left alone. Cruz is not speaking to this, Trump is.

The election will be fun to watch, but I wouldn't be surprised if the outcome has already been decided. It's a stage play designed to give us the illusion of choice. We need to rise up en masse and vote out the ruling parties. As long as we have only the choice of a Democrat or Republican, we all lose.
