I'd be scared. Somehow LV found out where I live and now I can't get her to leave!

So I was having a conversation with a client recently. They had been a long-time lurker and finally decided to see me. Bottom line, he expressed that he worries that I reveal too much information about myself online, and that I am too much of an open book as a provider. I feel that being myself and being open and expressive has been one of the primary reasons for my success in the hobby.

So my question: Do you agree with him? How much is too much? At what point is my posting too personal?

Food for thought...

I appreciate you saying this. I want honest feedback. His concern I suppose was the idea that I may not be able to return to safely return to the professional workplace someday.

I think that it just depends on the client. Some like to maintain the illusion of the beautiful pure porno princess just waiting around for a call to service them. Knowing that someone/you has a fairly normal life with the exception of career ruins that fantasy. I don't think that a client wanting that illusion is a bad thing, it makes sense, it just isn't the only perspective.

I don't think you are particularly trying to attract that kind of client per se. Many clients want to get a feel for a provider's personality, whether they will 'click' with them, or trying to get more of a 'GFE'. I know that your candid nature is attractive to me as a client!

I actually don't think that you over-share private details, you just mention the munchkins, your honest thoughts on things and your experiences.

The main thing in that regard is the photos, but what is done is done.

Another thing mentioned was how much I talk about the Y. I think he thought having pictures of it was risky.

LV, the way I see it is that displaying my personality is a way of Pre-PRE-screening clients. If they don't like the personality, they don't to book in the first place, and it saves me the headache of a session in which we don't mesh well. If they like it and feel like they know me already, it makes them much more comfortable from the moment they walk through the door. Yes, making a living is important to me, but I have (to a certain extent) the luxury of only having to see gents/ladies who will click with me mentally

That part exactly. I think you've found a way to market yourself in a way that attracts the type of clients you're looking for. I don't think it's a good or bad thing and don't see any reason you'd want to change that unless you're looking to start attracting a different type of clientele.

And I am sure that he is reading all of this right now. To you I say, "I feel blessed to know that you care and are concerned for me. I feel lucky that I attract friends who are very caring and considerate. You certainly gave me something to ponder. It is a healthy process to think things through and I'm glad to be reminded to reflect as needed."
