Huh. I guess I didn't realize the envelope thing was actually real. I've always just left it plain sight beforehand, or counted it out and set it down afterwards. Only time I used an envelope was for a full-weekend experience just on account of the quantity. I don't care if a provider counts it, though I can't recall that ever happening.

What HAS happened to me a couple of times which I truly disliked (both times with massage providers, as it happens) was being told to get naked and THEN being asked for the money. Not only does it set a bad tone for the whole encounter, but man do I feel like doofball bending over to fumble into the pocket of my jeans for my wallet and retrieving cash while in the nude. I mean, I would have been totally fine if she had asked for the money up-front - happier, in fact. But doing it this way was just unpleasant.

I seem to get a lot of bank deposit envelopes. One time when moving my incall, I pulled a freakin pile out of the nightstand - Regions, 1st TN, Wachovia, SunTrust, Bank of America. (A few still had money in them too.)

I prefer - just lay it down. But please don't hide it. My first incall, client hid it under the hotel phone. Totally hidden, not edges peeking out.

One friend strips, lays down, spreads the gift out on himself and says "Earn it." Usually it's 20's but after me joking about it, he brought all 1's once. I laughed so hard I cried.

One friend, ( a fav) brings me money orders the first Tuesday of the month - for that Tues and the next 3.

First time I meet someone, I prefer the fee be set down and not discussed. After that first meet, I'm much more relaxed about "etiquette".

only on occasions where the provider has provided a service worth repeating that I will usally get a card and even a bunch of flowers- usally though it is precounted in a shirt pocket put down on the counter and I go wash my hands then return for some fun. I do keep a tip accessable for that special visit. its all a matter of manners.

I had a provider count it out in front of me once, I didn't take offense yet I felt that it was tacky, she had the oppurtunity to do so when I was in the bathroom.

It might end up being just a matter of trust as to first impressions of either the client or provider.

I always use the envelope my first time with a provider. I like to give the impression of being an informed client rather than some total noob. Even in my early 30s and having been with many women inside and outside of the hobby, I still have a tendency to get nervous and excited like a 15 year old at a high school dance the first time I see a girl.

I think it all depends on the gentleman. I realize that some feel more comfortable paying first, envelope or no envelope.

Others have paid after, before they leave and either tell me they have left a gift for me or just handed it to me.

On tipping, envelope or no envelope, if they haven't place a tip in beforehand, they just put it on top of the original gift.

It's all good, I don't really have any preference personally. I just want my guests to feel comfortable.
