I am still appalled at last week's "good television" in the Oval Office. For me, it is not a matter of who is right and who is wrong, its that televising an MMA match between two unequal weight classes is not good for anyone.
I expect a certain degree of "Noble" behavior from the most powerful people in the world, eg, treating guests with respect in public and taking emotional and conflicting debates behind closed doors. Transparency is generally a good thing, but it does not always mean that we have to see "how the sausage is made". After heated debate, conflict, etc, in private, then, if an agreement is reached, the public statement could be something like, "it was a difficult negotiation, but here is what we agreed on"
I know that many will disagree, but that's just my opinion

Zelensky didn’t want to sign the agreement. He pushed it off twice. If a rude asshole comes to my house, I throw him him out. He got what he deserved. He’ll have to deal with the consequences of his behavior.

If that little made-for-TV event was about a signature then there should have been paper on a desk and pens ready to go

It was Mr Gristle. They had two tables set up for an historic signing. The had the East Room set up for a beautiful State lunch. It was ready to go with all the Pomp and Circumstance. The “sausage” was made weeks before.
Besent met with Zelensky in Ukraine with the proposal. He could signed it then. He wanted it tweaked and said he would sign it in Munich a couple weeks later. Rubio and Walz meet with him with the proposal. Zelensky, asked if he could sign it at the WH with Trump. They appeased him again. All that fucktard had to do was show up and sign it. Not give Trump and the American people a lecture and make more demands. Trump didn’t start shit, Zelensky did. Now he gets to wallow in it.

I agree. Some of Trumps fans love his blunt, made for TV rhetoric. But it’s counterproductive for most. I agree with him in that it’s time for the rest of the free world to hold up their end, but he can’t communicate his intentions without being Trump.
I’ll say again that Zehlinsky started the back and forth when he interrupted Vance, who was looking at the media while saying diplomacy was the answer. Then it turned into a public debate that shouldn’t have happened.

The sausage was still being discussed last week, Bam. You need some fact-checking.
And if they were ready to sign, they would have skipped that little preamble and got down to signing. Talked up the deal afterwards. Alas, more chaos.

BREAKING: President Donald Trump will address the potential suspension or full cancellation of military aid to Ukraine, including weapons pledged by the Biden administration.

You need fact checking. Zelensky agreed to the terms in Munich. He met with Democrats before the Oval meeting and they told him not to accept. The sausage was cases and packaged. It was on the desk to sign with a lunch afterwards. You’re wrong as usual.

Zelensky stated on 2/23 at the Ukraine: Year 2025 forum that he wasn't signing. It was widely reported. Trump sowed confusion as he was trying to frame the deal publicly as repayment for Biden grants, which also lead to the 10 generations quote. There was also a reiterating that there needed to be security guarantees.
As of 2/25 they had hammered that back out. U.S. had no rights designated. Wasn't getting $500 billion. Morphed into a joint reconstruction fund using 50% of revenues from mineral sales thst Ukraine wasn't already receiving revenue from today. And there were still no security guarantees. Your notion that this was all good to go weeks ago is... wrong.
It tooks weeks to negotiate. It took Trump and JV less than an hour to fuck it up as they postured about dress code, poker hands, and whether Zelensky had ever said thank you (like he had at the start of the discussion).

Wow… Trump is not playing games.
Trump says he believes Russia and the People of Ukraine are willing to make a deal, but that Zelensky is not.
Trump warns Zelensky that he “won’t be around very long” if he is not willing to make a peace deal.
Scorched-earth on Zelensky

He also said that he still thinks the deal will get signed and that he doesn't want Zelensky out of office

Trumpf can't keep up with his lies.
Even trumpf is confused with his own actions.
