I don't think one side has any right to judge or place expectations on the other.
I understand how some people could want it researched more before putting it in their bodies.
I also understand how others would want their at-risk loved ones, or even themselves, protected.
I don't see any reason why people who arn't at risk should be mandated to get it, especially since the shot doesn't completely prevent the transferal of virus from one person to another.
I don't like the anti-vax propaganda, which is just that - propaganda.
It's putting a huge rift in our country. I don't remember the last time I remembered my entire country unified against something, and frankly it makes me sad, concerned, and aggravated that people are putting SO MUCH THOUGHT into this vaccination when there are SO many other things out there worth seriously being concerned about.

Anti-Vaxxers are not "selfish".
Pro-Vaxxers are not "stupid".
If you are at risk of transmitting COVID or work with a demographic who is, then you should get the shot.
If you aren't, then don't. It should be like the flu shot - people who can get it can, and those who don't want to , don't have to.

Science is the reason why the vaccine is available. It is also the reason why people choose not to take it. We should each have the option to decide what is best for each of us, on our own.

I did endurance running, 7-8 miles a day for 2-3 days a week, all last winter while wearing a mask at the gym. Think of it like basic manners, like saying "thank you" to someone holding the door for you - Thank you for letting me shop in your shop when you could be like so many others during this time and close - let me respect your wishes to not spread to anyone who might be at risk, and wear a mask. Or simply shop somewhere else.

Who here among you has encountered the bullshit surcharge that restaurants are extorting out of unsuspecting customers when the customer behaves like a normal adult and pays with a credit card? I've gotten fucked on this a couple of times, didn't actually notice until someone pointed it out to me.

Started fucking the waitresses over it. I guess the most the restaurant owners can legally surcharge in NY is 4%, so 4% comes out of the tip every time they pull this shit on me.

I think it's important that the waitress be aware of why they're getting fucked, so I leave a note explaining that the business owner is selfishly devouring her tips.

Another thing we can blame on liberal, shutdown happy democrat douchebags I guess.

I'm also accepting zero blame for my behavior here, male lesbians, so please spare me the sob story about the suffering of the innocent waitress.

In complete agreement. The government has no right to put something in our bodies that we do not want. That would represent a slide into something more fascist.

Wearing a mask (and not an intentionally compromised one) is basic manners and respect for the entity you want to conduct business with when they have requested it.
