Yeah, let's have a impeachment trial in the Senate! Sounds like a GREAT IDEAL! MAGA!

Kurt Schlichter pointing out today that impeachment results in a proper trial in the Senate. In other words, President Trump’s defenders get to call witnesses. Witness # 1? Joe Biden, of course. Let’s see how feeble Joe does, explaining away Ukraine, with the whole world watching. Have the Democrats thought this far ahead?

they are not completely private, or there would be no need for a Whistleblower statute.
much of the problem people have with Trump stems from his unaccountability to anyone on any matter he chooses. the Presidency has been afforded too much power, that was not Constitutionally granted. of course, the Right sees any information request as the "Deep State" trying to "undo" the 2016 Election. the House needs to grow some balls, and send the Sergeant at Arms to arrest some people. Trump and his Flunkies will continue thumbing their noses until folks are jailed.

The statute in question applies ONLY to employees of the U.S. intelligence agencies: not the president of the United States.

Funny I don't recall your saying that a few years ago when the House held Eric Holder and Lois Lerner in contempt?

maybe.. different people say different things. real truth is a scare commodity these days.
back to Ukraine.. we don't know what Trump said to the Ukraine President, but he now admits they talked about "Biden" (Hunter, Joe, or both). the Whistleblower's message should be heard by the relevant House Committee, but the problem is partisan House Members might not like what they hear. I agree with what was posted yesterday.. this Whistleblower could actually be a Trump Official "setting up" the Democrats. it could backfire against Biden. then I see stories like this:
https://apnews.com/9d4595ba4f3140c6bb6a3473a91f4a4c
that calmly say "there is no evidence" Hunter was "inappropriately" hired.. really? just what qualifications did he possess for that position? sure, the Ukraine government doesn't see that a crime was committed, because that is normal protocol in 90% of Countries, to further Nepotism as a business strategy.
remember a few weeks ago, when I predicted Biden would quit the race "sometime in October"? I feel like my prediction is lined up perfectly with events taking place.

it is so commonplace, that they now smirk every time they lie. as if they are in on "the joke" the Trump Administration plays. Lewandowsky should have been handcuffed before leaving the Committee room last week.

For what? Telling the truth? The guy admitted he feels free to lie to the liars in the fake news media. I found that to be refreshingly honest and candid. You should applaud Lewandowski, not handcuff him.

Did Biden not publicly admit that he strong armed Ukraine into a quid pro quo deal to fire a Ukrainian official who at that time was investigating his son?
Is it not the Constitutional duty of the president to enforce this nation's laws -- including to discover if Biden and his son violated U.S. laws?

first concrete evidence of “warpipes” being used in their traditional role on the battlefield comes from writings about the Battle of North Inch in 1396. This early association with the military has always stayed with the bagpipes; their penetrating notes were used to unsettle the enemy, and communicate with allies.

Scared the hell out of the Chinese during the Korean War -- they were so unnerved by the pipes that they broke and ran when the Scots attacked.

Trump stated today that he would be open to releasing the transcripts of the phone conversation.
Trump is doing what is called "leading by the chin" - think a boxer in a ring. He's goading the Dems to try to impeach him.
And, this should be no surprise to anyone, the Dems are falling for it - hook, line and sinker.
Just watch.
He's just too good.

Biden admitted the strong arm, but many do not think the strong arm had anything to do with Hunter Biden, and that Hunter's Firm was never under investigation.. a few who believe the Firm was under investigation say the investigation was over and no charges rendered, it all had wrapped up when Biden Sr. did the strong arm.
that is what is frustrating.. each "side" has its own fact sheet, and can't (or won't) agree on basic starter truths.

if it plays out like you suggest.. I stress IF.. then yeah, Trump is a fucking Master. I would love to see it, but for now, I don't think Trump is that savvy.

You left out the part where Hunter Biden's only obvious qualification for that $50,000 per month job with that oligarch was that he was the son of and shared the last name of a sitting vice-president -- the oligarch was buying access to corridors of power in Washington D.C. And there's Alexandra Chalupa -- a Ukrainian citizen -- who worked for the DNC to dig up dirt on Manafort.

I didn't leave that out, I said the exact same thing earlier, this morning. my position is there is no way in Hell Hunter was qualified, even marginally, to be on that Board. I don't care if Biden Sr.'s "Son of a Bitch" remark was related to Hunter or not.. Prima Facie evidence tells me Hunter got his position through nefarious intent.
