It is truthful, to my knowledge 120%:
Be careful! They are probably going to tell you not to bring up FOX News either. I suspect they want their beloved FOX News to be off limits, as well! These guys do not want a meaningful discussion of possible solutions. They only want to blame Obama for not correcting all of the problems left behind by George W. Bush!

Oops, I did it again!

Wow. Talk about uninformed and under-educated. The man was a state senator for 7 years, U.S. Senator for three, and President for three. GFE can't name one single thing this man's done in 13 years? Truly pathetic.

Since it's time you become educated and join the ranks of the civilized and informed, here's one for you...

As a U.S. Senator, Obama introduced the "Higher Education Opportunity Through Pell Grant Expansion Act". This legislation was written to help offset the increases in college tuition and would have increased the maximum Pell Grant amount from $4,050 to $5100 in 2006/2007. It never made it to a vote, but Pell Grants were increased by $500 a year through the ARRA (stimulus) in 2009. Also included in the ARRA was an increased tuition tax credit.

Our friend Gfe here excluded, anyone else who has kids attending college should be able to appreciate the value of this.

Here's another one previously mentioned by Kimberly. And this one is a goodie! Republican's have ignored the issue of equal pay for years. Obama had champoined the bill as a Senator, but it was defeated by Senate Republicans citing, "the possibility of frivolous lawsuits". Not sure what's so "frivolous" about lawsuits involving a woman being paid much less than a man for doing the same job. Then again, I've never really understood what they're beef is with equal rights in general.

"In May 2007, the Supreme Court issued its decision in Ledbetter v. Goodyear Tire and Rubber Co. The 5-4 ruling undercut the ability of employees to seek redress for pay discrimination under Title VII, the main federal anti-employment-discrimination statute."
"That the nation's first African-American president was signing his first bill into law marked an important civil rights moment, but the bill itself marked another. Former President Bush had preemptively refused to sign such a law when it was first proposed almost two years ago, just as he had with a variety of other pieces of anti-discrimination legislation. (I have written in a previous column about Bush's preemptive strike against the Employment Non-Discrimination Act, for example, which would have banned employment discrimination on the basis of sexual orientation.)

President Obama's decision to proudly sign the Ledbetter Act thus signals not only more robust protection against pay discrimination, but also the potential for further improvements and expansion to our nation's civil rights laws. As Obama declared in his speech at the Ledbetter signing, the bill sends "a clear message that making our economy work means making sure it works for everybody.""

I find that hard to believe. That would truly be pathetic.

More Fox News dribble, this time quoting Sarah Palin no less. Now "that's quite and accomplishment!". You'd have far more credibility with with these feeble and pathetic attempts at bashing someone if you kept them between yourself and the hillbillies that don't know any better at your local drinking hole.
"Obama acknowledged voting "present" -- a vote similar in its effect to "abstain" -- 129 times during his eight-year state Senate tenure, according to a Boston Globe fact-check at the time. The Globe said that Obama cast about 4,000 votes as an Illinois legislator, meaning that he voted "present" in about one of every 31 votes he took."

Senators will usually vote present when there are elements of a bill that they like, but elements that do not like and can't support. It's fairly common practice.

Hmm, I show 4 bills he sponsored or co-sponsored that were enacted in to law in one single year alone:

http://www.govtrack.us/congress/bill...=&status=&sort=

Not bad for a rookie in a Republican dominated House & Senate.

As a comparison, I checked Boehner's record the same year, only came up with six.

I could only laugh at the clown in the White House when someone on FOX News mentioned something to the extent that Jimmy Carter has got to be all smiles with Obama looking so weak

Now of course they are biased, but I think many can agree times under Carter times were not great

You may want to refrain from personal insults and self-aggrandized hegemony. It makes you and your arguments look lame. Especially since you are so pitifully ignorant of how educated, civilized, and informed anyone here is. It's a shame that liberals have to resort to this when they're backed into a corner with undeniable truth. You can attack the opinion without attacking the opinion holder. I have faith in you.

BTW, I don't drink. So I have no "local drinking hole". Not that you would know that.

Yes, Kosher, Carter and Obama have many things in common. Soon they will have one more.... Fellow "one-termers".

They will be best buddies, between the two of them they will be able to organize a south side community peanut eating contest

And than we can draw charts and graphs and for all ages and sizes of participants vs peanuts consumed

a second chart for those who ate the shells ( I love the shells)

He does have a PHD.

Michael Alan Weiner (born March 31, 1942), better known by the pseudonym Michael Savage, is a conservative American radio host, author, and political commentator. He is the host of The Savage Nation, a nationally syndicated talk show that airs throughout the United States on Talk Radio Network. The Savage Nation has an audience of 8 to 10 million listeners on 400 stations across the United States, making it the 3rd most listened to radio talk show in the country.[2][3] He holds master's degrees from the University of Hawaii in medical botany and medical anthropology and a Ph.D. from the University of California, Berkeley, in nutritional ethnomedicine. As Michael Weiner, he has written books on herbal medicine and homeopathy. As Michael Savage, he has written four New York Times-bestselling political books.[4][5][6][7]

What's your point? If you have a phD you get to put Dr. in front of your name. That's the rules DS.

bigtex, if you read my posts on this subject, you'll see that I put the blame squarely on both Republicans AND Democrats.
I'm a little surprised though that F-Sharp would link the Rolling Stone in a discussion about factual reporting. Less than a year ago it was shown that their sensationalist reporting that got General McChrystal sacked turned out to be not 100% factually correct and he was cleared.
The New York times has been caught time and again with their writers downright MAKING UP or fabricating parts of stories.
Fox news is no different than any other news service/corporation. Keith Olberman got caught violating an NBC News policy by donating to three political campaigns. Kind of a conflict of interest when you're a paid Political commentator don't you think?
As far as your comment F-Sharp about crosschecking facts....let's see. In the last 24 hours no less than FIVE different news outlets and the Unites States Vice President himself referred to the Tea Party as "Terrorists". So because five different liberal news outlets and the VP write and say it then it's true? If Republicans called Democrats "terrorists" we'd never hear the end of it. After the Gifford shooting Obama and MSNBC stated they would tone down the rhetoric. Guess calling the tea party "terrorists" is their idea of toning things down?
Big Tex, I don't believe everything I hear on Fox news, just as I don't believe everything I hear on MSNBC, CNN, ABC etc. I've seen first hand how these organizations gather their "facts" and it's usually third party and often through foreign nationals (when it comes to reporting on overseas events) so that by the time it reaches the U.S. consumer, accuracy and facts are usually woefully absent.
But you keep on believing that FOX is the villain and trust your news "sources".
And although this isn't Obama's doing, you would think he'd have a talk with Biden about the below. Just sayin'!

There is no use in arguing with these guys they just want to suck on the tit that fox news is the evil network... This is just WWE and they are all screwing us while we are being diverted as to what is really going on. There is no such thing as real true reporting in the main stream at all. I totally agree the R and the D are to blame for the shape our country is in.
