It's not just what you say. It's how you say it. It's hard for someone not to get defensive when someone goes off like that making little sense to anyone but himself and I guess you too. There is something called tact and sometimes it works like a charm and usually doesn't leave you looking like a jackass.

I didn't read all the responses to this thread, but from what I gather simple thank you emails are fine; it's the repeated emails/texts that are the problem.

Unfortunately, this is the way some men are wired. They develop emotional attachments very easily and fall in love with the first woman that shows them any kind of affection. Combine this with a business transaction where the woman is actually paid to make him feel like the only man on earth, and you have the makings of a disaster. I urge all ladies to be very careful with these types of clients. He may seem harmless at first, but if you show him enough attention, he will eventually become your stalker.

This reminds me several months back when I met a provider from overseas. She was working in the states and determined to meet a financial goal. After our meeting she/I would sometimes email just to chat. She started telling me about a regular of hers back in her home country. She had adjusted her rates and changed her website a few times during her visit to adapt to the U.S. market. She said this client of hers checked her website "several times" and did not approve of the decisions she was making for whatever reason. They got into a big argument, and I gave her my advice. The thing I was most concerned about was the fact he checked her website repeatedly. This guy was basically trying to "keep tabs" on her while she was on the other side of the globe. I let her know this man could be trouble in the future, and she eventually cut him off.

While I don't agree with some of Isis's viewpoints, I do think she handled the situation she described perfectly. She acknowledged him and explained that this was a business. Had she ignored him hoping he would get the point and move on, who knows, it may have gotten worse.

Maybe I am over-analyzing the situation. IMO, that is not normal behavior from a guy that understands what the hobby is about.

I've sent thank you emails to women I especially had a good time with, and I have received a few as well. It would be nice if more providers sent them though. It's always fun to read them. Of all the providers I've seen, I think I can count the number of thank you emails I received on one hand. Maybe it's me?

I've sent thank you notes. But that is because the man treated me exceptionally well. And I mean big time. Some go above and beyond everything for our time together. I sent him a thank you note telling him I appreciated his thoughtfulness.

The client who inspired me to start this thread; him and I are not friends. I told him we could be friends only, nothing else. He said he respected that, but as time went on he didn't. So I had to cut him out of my life. It was a mistake for me to agree to a friendship, and maybe even unprofessional. But I really am a big sweetheart and I'mtoo nice sometimes. I don't like hurting peoples feelings, thats why I always post here to vent. What I need to do, as Chloe suggested, is to put my foot down....

Yes, it's important to steer clear of these types of clients.
