i have a buddy who was a fed gov employee. he was senior air traffic controller. he was also a US Navy veteran so his 5 years counted to the 25 years he needed to retire. at the max pay for his rate he was clocking 165k a year. you can BET he opted out and gave that money to his stock broker. with about 400k he inherited from his dad's estate and that kind of income he's retired at 52 worth 2 million. he spends half his time in Belize and the other in God's Country aka ColoRADo as they say it up there. he is a classic example of the government BS on Social Security. if Government employees can opt of of this Ponzi Scheme why can't the ordinary worker?
