Nobody can predict the future....my blanket statement is what one would call a bet. You know a prediction with in certain time constraints predetermined so one side or the other is deemed correct or not.
What I have shown is how utterly ridiculous your and others hysteria is.
Of course you will not bet me because the chances of the doctor's girlfriend having Ebola are almost as slim as her dying from it were she to have it.

Here, the bottom line is this. The Doctors Girlfriend won't get Ebola simply because the doctor doesn't have it either. Anything associated with Ebola and America is nothing but a cruel hoax to get the public so rattled they will accept a vaccine for it. What the point of this whole charade is, I really don't know. I am sure money is a main part of the equation. Ebola is not a very common disease, it's also relatively difficult to contract. From 1976 to present there has been just shy of 13,000 confirmed cases of Ebola and a little over 6500 confirmed deaths from it, that's just a little better than a 50% death rate from this disease overall. Nobody in America has had it, contracted it or died from it. This whole thing is total bullshit. Ebola is a real disease with real consequences. Even if someone survives it there is still damage that may take several months for the body to heal. So am I worried about Ebola coming to America only if enough dumb asses take the vaccine.

Really? It's all a plot to sell vaccines? So Eric Duncan is a really good actor?
And the doctor in NY is in on it? He is faking being sick and testing positive?

"What is it about Ebola that makes people want to shit, vomit and mingle?" Bill Maher.
RE: the two Dallas healthcare workers (one asymptomatic), one of whom flew to Cleveland and another boarded a cruise ship, and the NY doctor who used public transportation and patronized a restaurant and a bowling alley.

That is because there was not a question , you requested me to tell you something. I did , which was look it up yourself.
You are correct , I had never heard of Ebola until recently. Fuck....let me do your research for you: Here is a Reader Digest version.
A healthy person that catch's Ebola in this country will survive because the reason most folks die is because of dehydration and shock. Something very treatable in this country. You will love the below link:
The virus leads to severe immunosuppression, but most deaths are attributed to dehydration caused by gastric problems http://articles.mercola.com/sites/ar...-outbreak.aspx

Go back and look at the video of this Dr Brantley, Writebol and Pham during their release from the hospital. Keep in mind Ebola is a hemorrhagic virus. Do those people really look like they had been sick. This disease is in no way contagious until symptoms manifest. One feature of this disease is weight loss due to fluid loss. I would say an of average ten pounds in a week. Even though a person may survive Ebola and the activity of the virus has been eradicated the damage is left behind.

You did research on a pathological disease from a Readers Digest, which is a non medical publication. That's pretty good, and what you learned was the major cause of death of Ebola was from dehydration. Well it's obvious dehydration would be a problem since the major symptoms of Ebola are Fever, Diarrhea, and vomiting all contribute to fluid loss. Fortunately dehydration is easy to control but that's not what ultimately kills you when it comes to Ebola. The major cause of death from Ebola is massive cell death from Necrosis which is the cells inability to maintain homeostasis and Apoptosis when cells of the body most notably Lymphocytes actually turn on themselves, they become an active participant in their own demise. This results in the hemorrhaging typical of Ebola. Dehydration is only a symptom. Controlling a symptom alone doesn't necessarily control the action of the disease.

So the governors of NY and NJ are hysterical?
Again, the only person hysterical is you. You are skeered of the Republican control of the House and Senate.
Thank Obama, not ebola.

Hey fagboy, speaking of predictions you might want to read up on the Oct. 24 issue of the Lancet Infectious Diseases. It's a reputable journal, not a right-wing blog. They just predicted that in Liberia's capital alone up to 171,000 people could be infected by mid-December. That's six weeks away! And the Center for Disease Control and Prevention estimates there could be up to 1.4 million people infected by January in the afflicted countries of Liberia, Sierra Leone and Guinea.
The only way to keep these numbers down, according to the Lancet, is for the international community to speed up control measures immediately with more treatment centers, distribution of preventive kits, faster detection, etc. And that means more exposed healthcare workers and others traveling back and forth between Africa and the US.
Can Dr. Fagboy name another disease in the annals of modern medical history as deadly and poised to grow as explosively as this one? I didn't think so.
So folks, who do you want to believe? WTFagboy? Or the Lancet and the CDC?
And as a matter of prudent public health policy, is it better to overreact or underreact? Overreact now with preventive measures? Or spend much more later because we predicted wrong? When it comes to ebola, Obama and fagboy are wrong on all counts - the science, the appropriate public policy, and the politics.

This is how ridiculous this whole Ebola incident is becoming. Taking precautionary measures to screen flights coming to America from West African countries isn't being implemented because they say it wouldn't make that much difference. But Governor Malloy of Connecticut put the State of Connecticut under Medical Martial Law in response to the Ebola outbreak. Currently Connecticut doesn't have any cases or suspected cases of Ebola.
