When the warriors are sleeping I'll creep up on your window and rub one out to the Neruda reading?
I'm being a creep today. True story.

Nothing creepy about rubbing one out to Neruda.
You know how this is,
if I look
at the crystal moon, at the red branch
of the slow autumn at my window,
if I touch
near the fire
the impalpable ash
or the wrinkled body of the log,
everything carries me to you,
as if everything that exists,
aromas, light, metals,
were little boats
that sail
toward those isles of yours that wait for me.

ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh Neruda . . . Il Postino . . . love art beauty . . . LIFE!
DON'T GO FAR OFF, NOT EVEN FOR A DAY
Don't go far off, not even for a day, because --
because -- I don't know how to say it: a day is long
and I will be waiting for you, as in an empty station
when the trains are parked off somewhere else, asleep.
Don't leave me, even for an hour, because
then the little drops of anguish will all run together,
the smoke that roams looking for a home will drift
into me, choking my lost heart.
Oh, may your silhouette never dissolve on the beach;
may your eyelids never flutter into the empty distance.
Don't leave me for a second, my dearest,
because in that moment you'll have gone so far
I'll wander mazily over all the earth, asking,
Will you come back? Will you leave me here, dying?

It's frustrating for you to wait to book with a girl and it's frustrating for us girls to have to pull everything out of you, email by email. I mean...if a guy emails me asking for an appointment, I assume he wants to see me. That's how this thing works, right? So...when he makes it impossible for me to screen him, he's just doing himself a disservice.
What is a reference? It's a thing where you see AbagailATM this month but next month you're more in the mood for HollyHandHolding. So what you do is you contact HollyHandHolding and say something like this:
****
Dear Miss Holding,
You seem very nice. I am also very nice. I think we could be nice together. Maybe tomorrow? The next day? I love holding hands. I have nice man hands. I trim my knuckle hair before every appointment.
Last month I saw AbagailATM. Here's her email and ECCIE profile. She will remember me under the phone number 512-I<3-ATMM. My name is Matt. I'm 45 and I have an EXIT ONLY tattoo over my pecker-hole. My email is the same as my handle on the boards.
I look forward to hearing back from you and kissing those darling cuticle beds of yours!
****
IF YOU WANT BONUS POINTS! You could also email AbagailATM and say something like this:
****
Sup butt slut!
I'm still thinking about that great time we had last month at the LaQuinta on Riverside. I CAN'T BELIEVE YOU ATE THE WHOLE THING! Still thinking about it. Anywho, I was hoping I could use you as a reference for a new girl. I wanted to give you a head's up (bottom's up? RARR!) so that you remembered our meeting before she contacted you.
I hope you're doing well and I will see you once you're home and healed up from your stay at the butt hospital.
Take care, precious,
xoxo
****
Bad reference:
1) I saw Belle in March. Email her.
2) *a phone number* (sans any other info...name, handle, email, reviews)
3) you can check my ID when I get there.
4) link to a strip club/SW review that you posted
5) but I have three reviews!
*Yes, I know this is about the fundamentals, but we mustn't forget the goddamn fundamentals!
**Or this could be a veiled ad for P411.
***Alright, back to banging my head on my pillows.

I. Love. You.

It's no secret that Austin providers have terrible TCB. I've had several visiting providers tell me that Austin providers will not reply to their PM'e or emails when they are trying to check references.
I can understand using references if you are a newbie but I've been a PA member on this board for almost 5 years and have several reviews. I think giving references is overrated. Check my reviews or posting history and decide if you want to see me.
I also think P411 is a waste of money if you have several reviews. It's great for the providers because they get to use it for free if they don't post ads. It's not worth $129/year. From my experience, provider TCB is just as bad at P411. I let my membership expire after using it for 8 years.
I actually tried giving references a few times recently just to see if it worked and a couple of providers didn't remember me and one I actually wrote a review on. I don't like seeing the same provider twice unless I have good chemistry with her. If you are not seeing one of these high volume providers 4 times in a couple of months, she probably won't remember you.

We're just poking a little fun, having a little fun; humor, chagrin, wit, snark...you know, those things that you yourself are very familiar and employ.
Though I can't speak for the other little clampots here, for me it has nothing to do with needing a attention nor business but rather just bringing a bit of conviviality to what can be a rather difficult and dangerous profession. A lampoon if you will, is all.
Certainly the force of intellect that is you understands this completely.

I always considered it a newbie move to go off of "good vibes" and "post history" and "review count," butt that's just me. And other established ladies, I'm sure. Yes, my spidey senses have improved with experience, but I'd be naive to consider said sense a sufficient screening tool. No screening tool is perfect, but I'll stick with my methods for now.
I think TCB has a lot to do with the professionalism of the ladies in question. And hell, even age. I know my TCB was somewhatish lacking my first go at this gig. Back when I was 22. Back before I ever held a "real" job. Now I'm older and have more RW experience, understand the value of y'all's time and money more, and I think it's helped my business. Sure, I disappear for a few days sometimes and come back to a few grumpy emails...but I'll just call that an additional screening method? Heh.
It's been stated that it's possible to see providers who don't screen. (Although why someone would trust such a girl to be as safe as those who do screen is surprising to me.) And it's possible to see providers who think that "review count" indicates that a gent is safe to see or a good fit for them. Just as high prices weed out some of he available grounds of boobies to graze upon, so shall screening methods.

I never enjoyed sufficient command of the Spanish language to fully appreciate Neruda's original verse – far less so now – but if any of the beguiling beauty is lost in Tapscott's breathtaking translations, the originals must surely be soulquaking to fully grok. When what's seen as through a mirror darkly can still shatter the heart, one wonder's how the Hispanophone world elides ever wandering about the Earth in bleary-eyed rapture.

I thought atxguy laid it out pretty well. I only have to read a few posts to decide whether that person belongs on my ignore list.
My experience with references:
Met a girl on BP who is also on here. She told that I really need to get on here to get references. Hmmm... okay never needed them before, but why not. Asked said lady if she would give me a reference if I did. Of course! she responded. Checked out some ladies and decided I would see Paven (still love your simple kind of man cover if you are reading this). Contacted Paven and gave my "reference" and waited and waited.... Finally got a call from my "reference" - uh do I know you? Tell me something that would make me remember you?
Great system!

I get at least six references a week. From Austin women. Often the same ones. Almost always within three hours. I usually give out three to four a month.
Magic!
I agree that Paven is hot, though!

(I haven't read all the comments so forgive me if I'm repeating something already said.)
Q: Do you ladies talk at all in the Powder Room?
Seriously! I can only speak for myself, but I try to do my OWN homework before making that first contact. In other words, I've verified that you are legit based on reviews and communication with other guys. Is there not some form of research you can quickly do via the Powder Room that will provide enough information to tell you whether you want to see someone?
I usually provide my handle and leave it up to do to do your own research (kind of like I get to do). If you want personal info … that's not going tot happen—PERIOD!
Now the above is for guys who contact you that have a board presence. So for those who do not, I can see your point. I'm not complaining, just curious. I figure if my way is not sufficient then I don't need to see you. I've played the "supply provider names/number/date/etc" game before and found that it is more ineffective than the time I wait trying to "get verified" — if my reviews don't speak for themselves (giving you who I've seen so you can contact them), and if you can so some of your own research (which usually takes me 30 max to make up my mind yes/no) then I don't need to waste my time supplying you with information that is already out there.
That's just me, and I'm perfectly fine if anyone chooses to not see me as a result.
