#1: In 1974 an all volunteer service was in place and recruiting was a tough business in the Post-Vietnam era.
#2: The maximum age of recruiting was 35 (now 29) and even if someone were marginal physically (or otherwise) capable, "waivers" were regularly handed out.
#3: Based on #1 and #2 a highly educated, physically fit female would be embraced to fill the noncombat positions in the service (which women did historically and ("legally") in the USMC) and eagerly accepted into the USMC.
#4: Another version was circulated around that it was her "gender" that was the basis of her rejection, which if that is what she said, it's bullshit (see #3).
#5: My dad was a WWII Marine with 6 years (out in 1945 BEFORE she was born) most of which was in the Pacific and HE WAS RECRUITED in the late 60's ... substantially older than Hillarious-No-More. He also described to me the role of women Marines who were serving while he was in the Corps.
One can easily put her "recruiting tale" in the same box with "sniper fire dodging"!
Oh, here's what she thought of the military back then .....
As for dumping his ass ....
It was related to me about 25 years ago ... she made a deal with Bill after the revelations of his escapades while Governor began to leak and cause her personal embarrassment from "turning to look the other way"! The deal was (while he was campaigning) she would not file for divorce to screw up his ambitions, but he would give her an active role in the Presidency if he won and she "kept quiet." He won, and he gave her an active role IN THE BEGINNING, which gives credence to what I was told. That would also explain her behavior and expressed attitude when the revelations of Lewinsky began to emerge (her famous "Right Wing Conspiracy" bullshit, when she had known all along what was happening while he was Governor).
Bill's first "task" was an attempt to dump the WH barber who had been there through numerous Presidents, and replace HIM with a bimbo hair dresser he had met after he was elected, but before the inauguration (she was invited to THE BALL!). (Remember the limo on the tarmac in California for a "hair cut"?). Hillarious threw a shouting, cussing, angry fit with yelling echoing for anyone (AND EVERYONE) to hear in the HOUSE!!!!!
As of this post there is NO EVIDENCE they are married today! In fact their "separate lives" would suggest otherwise, plus the FACT they moved to New York, in which "sealed" divorces are legally and regularly granted. There is evidence they are still making deals. (Bill gets a role in the WH!!!! ... sound familiar?).
The Bonnie and Clyde of the political world have so much shit on each other they can't break away out of fear of the legal and personal repercussions. Does anyone remember all the shit they had to return after the left the White House? Common thieves!
Their relationship has been a financial and "ambitional" convenience for over 30 years!
Your bitter, pathetic rant is precisely why you lose. You simply don't understand this nation anymore, JL.
Your vision of America is blurred by misplaced frustration. That America hasn't existed since the days of Levittown. And it isn't coming back. Ever.
You can accept America, participate and affect change as its needed or eat yourself up with hatred. But you ain't gonna smash my shop windows or burn my house, you Archie Bunker motherfucker.
Blame yourself. And shut the fuck up
Well, look you copied my post but addressed it to someone named JL, and I'm not him. But, beyond that, you didn't really address my assertion.
There are a lot of white men getting zapped by affirmative action/diversity, and they are getting fucked over by the 1% who are white, who essentially sell them out so they don't have to be the next white guy to go down in flames at the hands of the politically correct.
The only believable white man supporting affirmative action is someone who has been harmed by it personally or through his family.
You just basically want some other white person besides you or your family to suffer the affirmative action bite and pretend to be a good guy. When one of your grandchildren suffers because of it, you might think I have a point.
It is immoral to wish government discrimination against your fellow white Americans and it will not bring about national cohesion, any more than a bunch of Muslims who want to turn this nation into a caliphate are going to wakeup and worship liberal bullshit.
if it was a law, then the date would have been June 4, 1919. since it was an amendment the effective date is the date the last state ratifies it. that was in 1920. you can count can't you? Sure can. But what's counting have to do with things? Nothing in this case.
A joint resolution of the amendment is passed. The amendment is ratified. The joint resolution was passed on June 4 1919. Sen. Clinton's mother's birthday.
Sen. Clinton's statement.
“This past Saturday would have been her 97th birthday, because she was born on June 4, 1919, and some of you may know the significance of that date,” Clinton said. “On the very day my mother was born in Chicago, Congress was passing the 19th Amendment to the Constitution. That amendment finally gave women the right to vote.”.
you two are such a pair of homo's you should get a room at the nearest Motel 6. Hilary Clinton never actually even tried to join the Marines. that's a fucking lie. that pampered whore couldn't make it the first week of USMC boot camp.
Motel 6? Is that where you take your guys?
way too tough for a wimp like her. Or you? Which branch did you serve under?
"The Constitution provides that an amendment may be proposed either by the Congress with a two-thirds majority vote in both the House of Representatives and the Senate or by a constitutional convention called for by two-thirds of the State legislatures. None of the 27 amendments to the Constitution have been proposed by constitutional convention. The Congress proposes an amendment in the form of a joint resolution. Since the President does not have a constitutional role in the amendment process, the joint resolution does not go to the White House for signature or approval. The original document is forwarded directly to NARA's Office of the Federal Register (OFR) for processing and publication"
"Joint Resolutions
Joint resolutions may originate either in the House of Representatives or in the Senate. There is little practical difference between a bill and a joint resolution. Both are subject to the same procedure, except for a joint resolution proposing an amendment to the Constitution. On approval of such a resolution by two-thirds of both the House and Senate, it is sent directly to the Administrator of General Services for submission to the individual states for ratification. It is not presented to the President for approval."
