The thing that is sad to me about this statement is the thought that without the bickering and arguing and race baiting and insults you cannot have active discussions in COED. That's simply not true. If you want that you are on the wrong forum because that's the part that will get shutdown.

Give it some time. It's only been a day since the hammer dropped. Maybe people are just nervous about stepping over a line and getting pointed.

For me, I welcome Cryptkicker's presence, and the new more aggressive involvement by the Houston mods.
