How about everyone takes it down a notch. Dallas and Houston both have crazy infested areas.

But they are both easy to figure out...stuff near either Galleria is going to be nicer. Any area with high end steakhouses is going to attract upscale business guys.

Any place with a lot of extended stay motels is going to have issues.

If you want to bang as many guys as possible in a short time, follow BLM's advice and stay at a decent place near one of the airports.

And don't look or act like a hooker or stripper.

Here in Dallas the good providers have their own incall or use 5 star hotels. And when they travel, they do their research and politely make a post in the city they're traveling to and ask about where the best places to work are and what are the bad parts of town, so they can avoid them. Why didn't you know that? You look mature enough, so it seems like you should have been aware of that. We have posts in our CoEd and Powder Room every week from out of town ladies that are traveling to our beautiful city. And the residents here are very helpful and very nice to them. In this business most of us know that we have to be kind to each other and watch out for our co workers. But maybe you're not cut out to travel. It's ok, not every one is. You have to know to do research and you certainly have to know to know to be polite to the people that live here.

I personally hate most of Dallas and I'm sure I'd hate most of Houston too. I'm more of a Ft. Worth guy (suburb). Come to think of it I hate Ft. Worth too. I'm not fond of Irving, I loath Arlington, Plano?? Might as well be OK. HEB? I don't know where one starts and the other ends. Neither do they or they wouldn't group them together under the same name. I have about a 2 mile radius that I can almost tolerate. I won't hobby after dark. Get the kids off my lawn.
I've hobbied in some real shitholes and seen some unsavory characters but have never been bothered one way or another. I'd apologize for you being approached on your visit here but as I said I hate Dallas so it doesn't surprise me. I stopped at a fast food restaurant to pee on my way to a Dallas session and I had to ask for a key for the bathroom. That tells me everything I need to know. Maybe I should have tried a fancier place like Denny's.
