ENOUGH! The cure is greater than the disease. This isn't polio. This isn't sickle cell. The disease is going to wipe out maybe 10-20,000 people in the US who are "at risk" of dying anyway?

If this disease was killing our young I wouldn't say this. But from what's being reported, it's not. Soon jobs reports will come out. It will be more devastation to the markets. A LOT of people won't be able to make rent or car notes in April.
Many folks who sheltered in place are going to look for the govt for money. I don't blame them. The govt can't print enough. The inflation will mean more devastation. None of that will bring their job back. And the shit will just loop back on itself.
The best recovery both economic and health wise is to get out there. Our health system may be temporarily overwhelmed but that's why the capacity is there. Use it. Soon, the only "flattening the curve" that will happen will be to our social well being.

Somewhere in America people were mourning the tragic death of a very young and fit soccer coach as a victim of COVID-19.
Turns out he also had leukemia.
The youngest person who died in the cruise ship off the coast of California was 70 or so.
Age and comorbidities are significant factors.
Once testing ramps up next week to hopefully 100,000 tests per day we need to only quarantine the sick and the old and otherwise get back to work.
China owes the world trillions for letting this thing out of their labs, if that is what happened.

even if it wasn't borne of a lab, they owe for their lies and lack of sharing and not allowing or calling on the world's and our experts to help address this at the outset
instead they blamed the doctors for lying
they owe for the dark-aged barbarity and breeding grounds of their wet markets
their governance, a totalitarian leftist failure, where fear and self-preservation prevail, cares not for the individual, only for the system..our leftists in this country, if introspective, could see themselves in this failure
they owe the world....they owe each of us
where is the freezing of china assets that remain in the free world and where are the class action lawyers when we really need them
aren't the communists holding our treasury notes? freeze those now

Yep, looks like the repubtards are liking Andrew Yang's universal income now. Trump has mismanaged this from the beginning. He said it was no big deal, it will pass. Korea offered the USA test kits that work, Trump turned it down. From the first case in Kirland, Washington on Jan 26th, less that eight weeks later the bug is in every state. New York has 7,000 cases right now. Gov. Quomo has ordered every one stay home (except for essential business) starting Sunday Night. The virus has overwhelmed Italy. It maybe longer than 3 weeks in isolation before things get better. Without the vaccine the social distancing is about the only thing the government can do. If you get infected and your immunity system does not make the antibody for the carona virus you're in trouble. Trump got an intelligence report and ignored it. Thanks Trump.
To help activate your immunity system:
Vitamin C
Vitamin D
Zinc
Seven hours sleep (maybe difficult for some people)
When you exercise try to break a sweat.
Wash your hands with soap and warm water multiple times
Try not to touch your face
Sanitize your cabinets the carona virus can live on metal and wood for three days. Can't buy lysol, use soap and warm water. Detergents work well on Carona Virus.
Everyone be safe out there.
Thanks Dr Oz.

You may not understand it completely but you are curious enough to ask questions which is better than what most people are doing. How this Virus made it into world populations isn't nearly as important as to why it did. The reason you are seeing businesses close and store shelves empty is because this whole incident is a Psy-op, it all happens by design. An actual incident such as a Viral outbreak that has occurred many times before is exploited as urgent and detrimental so we must alter our behavior and lifestyle in order to combat it. Businesses are closing, people are working from home, and events cancelled. Officials urge people to stay home to lessen their exposure sounds like sound advice but that's not the reason. The reason is to keep people from noticing anything. You defied that advice and drove around and observed a lower than expected activity level at a local hospital for a medical incident of this magnitude. So what's the end game with this Pandemic? A theory I've been hearing quite a bit lately is Global Economic Crash. I am not going to rule that out. If someone would have told me a year ago that a virus would sweep across several countries causing the trouble we all are witnessing, I would have said they were crazy. Things may return to what we consider normal but stay aware and don't take anything for granted.

I've had a feeling that this was manufactured panic. no one panicked in 2009. its not all that different between 2009 now and today.
I couldn't see what the end game was by doing this.
its well known that you can reset markets by crashing it in order to buy businesses they were unable to buy previously.
of course, this was also done to hurt Trump as well.
the timing is suspect as this is an election year.

Of course you're absolutely right. They also had to use a notorious sounding label for this virus "Covid-19" oh my that sounds terrible. This time of year, end of winter early spring these viruses circulate among people everywhere. Italy has the highest death rate. A country of 60 million people with the median age being 47.3 years of age. Out of all countries in Europe Italy has the highest population of people in their 80's and 90's it just so happens those that have died due to this virus are mostly in that age bracket in comparison to China a population of 2.2 billion where this virus was supposedly born has a mean age group of 38 years old similar to America and considerably less deaths than Italy. This whole thing is exaggerated, it's a Psy-op.

And you offer no proof of this claim. Sounds similar to the now debunked statement made by Biden and others that Trump turned down test kits from the World Health Organization ( WHO ) which turned out to be not true.
https://www.factcheck.org/2020/03/bi...navirus-tests/
But I can't find anything of a similar nature regarding South Korea offering kits and Trump refusing. That just doesn't sound right on so many levels but here's an idea, if you are going to make a comment like that, add the proof or keep it to yourself until you can provide the evidence.
If everybody would adopt this rule, we would all be a lot better off. Watched a very interesting show last night on HBO called "Disinformation and the cost of Fake News". You can catch it tomorrow at 1:15. While it is informative, you can tell who produced it by the fact that they did a whole segment on Fox News but not on the fake news of CNN and MSNBC for the past 3 years. Sean Hannity was taken to task for running with the Seth Rich story but no mention of CNN and MSNBC running with the fake news story of a Trump Russia conspiracy or the left's assurance that there was no FISA abuse which we now know to be true.
But it is an interesting story none the less and makes the point that whether it comes from the left or the right, this putting out comments/ stories that are not verified, hurts us all.
So if you are going to say Trump turned down test kits from South Korea, proof it. Not saying you are wrong because I can't prove it with the admittedly small research I did but I at least tried to verify the story and if I don't see proof, even though it may be true, I'm not buying it till I see the proof.
If you've got it, post it or keep it to yourself.
While there is a lot of talk about how Trump could have done better in the beginning, the same kind of talk leveled at Obama or anybody at the top when things go wrong, I see nothing to suggest that South Korea was shipping their admittedly better test kits and nothing that I could find about us refusing this kits. All the stories about South Korea says they did a good job of producing a good kit and got it out to their people, I don't see anything that says they produced enough at the time we are talking about, that they had enough to ship to every country in the world that wanted them, that would be hundreds of millions.
While there is a lot of debate of whether Obama moved fast enough or not
Before it was over, the pandemic had hit 60.8 million Americans, hospitalized 274,304, and killed 12,469, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
This was the H1N1 virus, also known as the swine flu, which emerged in April 2009 and lasted until April 2010.
So we will be able to at least compare hospitalizations and deaths thought the two diseases are very different.

Trump and Republicans spread lies and misinformation about the Coronavirus.
The Chinese gave out the genome for the virus on Jan 11, the Germans had a test 10 days later and started testing people.
Trump called the virus a democratic hoax and Republicans were laughing about it, making false comparisons and just telling people to carry on life as normal and go travel and spend money.
Republicans and Donald Trump had over 2 months to get ahead of the virus and order test kits, ventilators and respirators and get hospitals ready. They did nothing, zilch and doctors and infected people are starting to pay the price. Trump isn't responsible for the virus but he did nothing to stop the spread of it.
Republicans as usual believe politicians and cult leaders before doctors and scientists. Unfortunately , alot of people will die and Trump and Republicans let this spread to every city and town in America.
Good luck.

I agree with gnadfly and friendly fred. Let it run thought the population! Those old people are just a drag on the US economy anyway!
In fact, let's jump start things by killing everyone over 70, so we can get back to earning money sooner!
How old is trump?

I’ve been in the medical business for 35yrs and know people at UPMC. Some of the best scientists and researchers work there. Word is the virus will flatten out here by the first week in April. If the Malaria drugs prove to be safe and effective, things will start to get back to normal by may. TIFWIW.
