LOl! You're funny. No, I can't tell the exact temperature, but I can tell if they are warmer than they should be, and then I break out the thermometer and take it orally. When you were little didn't you mother ever kiss your forhead or put a palm on it to see if you were warm? Palms and lips are very sensitive with a lot of nerve endings.
Hmm..that gives me an idea! Since I like doing prostate massage, I could incorporate a rectal thermometer in that activity! Rectal is actually the most accurate temp.
But what does feeling if someone is a little warm have to do with retardation or masturbation? If I have a fever I don't usually feel like masturbating; are you afraid my fingers will get burned? Is that a joke or were you trying to take a dig for some reason? Really, why retardation and masturbation? Very weird thing to say. I consider retardation when people make stupid comments that make no sense.

You should book a session with Wulf Princess and pretend that you have ebola. See if you can puke and shit all over the one square foot of carpet that she has open.

I was calling you retarded so if you can diagnose by touch I was saying that it must be weird to try to rub one out when your doctor fingers are diagnosing you as retarded.
Maybe your fingers just decided that you were blissfully unaware. I don't know. I'm not a doctor.

No broes, you are certainly not a doctor. I never said I could diagnose by touch, I said I could detect if a person was warmer than normal. Most people can. It makes me sad that you would call someone retarded when they just posted in the Ebola thread how they were handling it. That's what the OP was requesting. I never said you should do the same thing. Maybe try not being so nasty and hostile. I'm not like that. And "my doctors fingers were diagnosing as retarded"? That wasn't part of my post at all and I said I was an RN, not an MD. A temperature change can be detected on the skin. Of course. You're entitled to your opinion as I am. But I don't attack people for their opinions. It's hurtful and not nice.

Wow man. What a vulgar dick. Just express your opinion civilly next time.
"I don't agree with you, but it's your business, but I do think you're wrong. I can't detect if someone feels warm so therefore I don't think anyone can"
Is it that hard to be a decent human?.

You have 4 reviews. I realize that I have none but you have 4 and 2 of them are Ginger Katt. You are an insult to the Maximus that we all know. I am assuming that you had to type out this white night bullshit under orders from Proximo (Ginger) to guarantee your freedom. Thumbs down, bitches.

Part of my post I knew would be messin' with your head. Funny thing,we laughed about it and went on our merry way.
Some others here seem like they have cabin fever being cooped up together and taking steroids for some bronchial issues. They are taking this shit too personally and completely hijacked the thread; including a mod and one of his stalkers.
So they shipped Pham off to Emory but the black lady is still here? Let's get 'em both out of the state as well as any other health workers that come up with it.
It is apparent that there are some hospitals that have better facilities and better trained staff to properly deal with Ebola patients and Presbyterian got caught with their pants down. The nurses had never gone through the necessary level of training to fall back on and improvised as they went along making what CDC investigators make rookie mistakes in protocol and protection.
I feel for the two nurses who have contracted it. They had to deal with catheters, IV re-insertions, cleaning up his bodily fluids when he was most contagious. They were brave and compassionate and their bosses failed them. They did not train them or have detailed protocol available for the nurses or the doctors. The two previous doctors who got infected helping in Sierra Leone were flown to Emory and both were cured. They need to get this last woman up there and pray no one else had any contact with their bodily fluids. Presby and every other major Hospital needs to learn the proper procedures and protocols in handling Ebola ASAP.
There will be future incidents because we are a global community now. The U.S. can fight it successfully if it puts politics on the back burner and just get every hospital the training and necessary procedures to immediately follow. It's a public health issue and not a political one. Fuckin' career politicians!

I think Ebola is definitely a topic for discussion in any forum because half the people who get it die ! I also believe we all have the right to handle our business. If that means see no one or reduce services offered that's your business. Hobby on but choose YOUR level of comfort.
On the topic of Ebola who thinks it's interesting that the people who lived in an apartment with the original patient from west Africa have not tested positive ? I believe their quarantine period is almost over ? If people who lived in the apartment ( small space) right up to the time EMS took him to the Dallas hospital didn't catch it what real risk was the flight? She should not have flown and CDC should have a clear no fly for everyone involved in direct care of Ebola patients. At least the nurse asked the CDC so the responsibility is shifted to the CDC.
I will not be surprised if another nurse is positive but will be very surprised if any of the minimally exposed get Ebola. The people who were exposed early and for very short periods of time (in my opinion) are very unlikely to become positive.

Actually Vinson (black lady) was the first to be flown to Emory. Pham was then flown to Maryland.
Least Presbyterian is acknowledging they can't handle this.

Ya they are both at specialized facilities in Atlanta and Maryland now which is what Nigeria did (treating at specialized facilities only) to contain it over the summer successfully. We could all take a lesson there: 22 cases, 900 quarantined and all nonessential travel restricted when it arrived Lagos mid July. Pretty drastic but they wiped it out before it spread. And they boarder Liberia.
I do feel for the nurses too (obviously). They did follow the instructions given to them and the chain of command unfortunately failed. The thing that erks me is that dumbass reporter who just came back from Liberia and was ordered to self-quarantine then left the house to go get her favorite soup from a local diner.
The prediction is around two dozen infected in the US when all is said and done so not very many. The incubation period sucks for sure and is the one of the main sources of anxiety. Personally, I'm very comforted to know that his family is almost out of the woods. Which means transmission in the earlier onset of signs is very containable.
It seems that the last days are when it is so highly contagious that you can actually get it from the droplets of the person's body fluids coming into contact with any vulnerable spot on your body or if you touch a surface with droplets and then touch a vulnerable spot on yourself (which they are officially calling "airborne and contact" transmission but its not as serious as it sounds since it is only in the most severe, final stages of infection).
Its such a complicated infection considering it lives in the semen for weeks but that the blood and plasma have antibodies immediately available to donate to other who are fighting the infection. It just adds the anxiety and uncertainty of it all.
What I DO NOT think is that it is going to used as a bio-weapon. Its too slow and containable for medically advanced countries. However I do think our enemies are watching America's response and behavior right now very closely and looking for the weak links should they manage to gain control of a real bioweapon.
This ebola scare has been a good practice run for the US as far as future possibilities of outbreaks down the road. And then specifically for the hobby, its been a good reminder to be more aware of sessioning when you aren't feeling very well. As has been said, cold and flu kill many more people per year than Ebola but Ebola has made us all more cognizant of how illnesses are transmitted. Just because you may not have a family or children to worry about getting sick doesn't mean that others don't. I think that is a really important concept to take away from all this: keep your cold, flu and/or ebola to yourself. Lol
That and that people can have disagreements without losing their cool.

Why is a Mod insulting a member? That isn't right. How are you going to hand out infractions to members for being rude when you are being rude yourself? And why mention Fox News? Do you think that people that watch FN are ignorant? Do you have the market cornered on intelligence because you watch MSNBC? I got an infraction for being rude to another member which I deserved. What say you D of G? Do you deserve an infraction?

Listen you are a nice person however you just gave out very inaccurate information. Nigeria never curtailed any travel. They had a run down building where they put all the Ebola people that they knew of. The good thing was that the person that brought Ebola to the country was taken straight from the airport to the hospital. The guy knew he had Ebola as he avoided contact with people based on the video cctv feeds of him at the airport. Majority of the health care workers that treated this guy died from the disease. The government from the news closed down the schools and immediately monitored the healthcare workers and put them in a run down building only when they got sick and even the government agreed it fucked up on its handling of Ebola. There is a news article of a medical doctor in Nigeria that survived and she tells you in detail what happened and how she was treated and thank god we live in America because trust me you don't want to go through what she went through.
You put down statements that are flat out wrong and also the biggest of which is that Nigeria borders Liberia, this is sooooooo wrong geographically it's like saying Texas is beside New York. Liberia is not anywhere close to Nigeria. I am not trying to fight but to point out inaccurate statements that given the nature of this site would be taken as facts by the lay man and woman. People already going crazy with fear, people simply need to be cautious and not go crazy, travel ban this and travel ban that, like if that will help. If someone wants to come to a country, they will find a way.
I agree that one hospital with specialized people should be used to curtail the spread of this disease. Also people should go get informed, the cdc website is free to read
