after freezing my ass off for years or getting soaked I gave up going to the independence bowl
for a southern town every year the independence bowl weather sucks.
I found a nice warm spot in front of a tv with the bowl on and stayed nice and warm and after seeing how the warhawks decided to be the pusshawks it was quickly turned off .
no frozen balls for me any more or at least until they get some better opponents.

Now if we could just get Devon and Island to cum down and give us a half time show the game would be worth going to.
And to think just a few months ago Devon almost wrote Shreveport off..lol

Magic, Horseshoe usually has some nice things going on, on the rooftop. Several smaller pubs in Bossier are great. If you find yourself on the downtown Shreveport side of the river, have on your flack jacket and a helmet if its close to 12... It usually is raining lead on New Years Eve. I try and stay on the Bossier side mostly. But there are some places in Shreveport away from downtown that are nice.

I usually go out to the Race Track (Harrah's Louisiana Downs). They usually have a band, balloon drop ect... in Atrium plus fireworks in middle of track. If its cold out you can see the fireworks from the inside.
