Words of Advice - learn to think critically and give up the DPST racial identity politics.

Absolutely. In fact did that yesterday morning. So did a lot of people. I’m thinking the numbers are going to look similar to Obama Romney adjuster for a couple million more voters. And I believe the legislative branch will go democrat as well. Collins Gardner and McSally appear dead in the water and Ernst and Tillis can still see the surface but the water is rising fast. Jones will lose pretty big but it is Bama so there is that. Michigan will go Dem no matter that it’s looking close today. Graham will win but because he’s damaged his rep so badly following Trump he’ll have no voice that matters, except he’ll appear on Fox daily.
Dems will “stack” the courts along with a restructure to lessen the impact of future appointments. Likely institute a “riding the circuit” rotation which will push some of the older judges to retire rather than sitting on the SC until they die (which I think many will welcome).
The Dem legislative agenda will likely codify Rowe, Obamacare, voting rights act, gay rights and marriage, and get rid of citizens United. Which will take the matters out of the Supreme Court. Along with raising corporate taxes, reconstituting the “death tax” and raise rates on the ultra wealthy.
If the country goes to shit because of those things, guess it was more fragile than we knew to begin with.

Do you really think Trump will get 16-20% of the Black vote?
"Polls suggest about 10 percent of black voters both nationally and in key swing states with large black electorates are supporting Trump. That is similar to 2016 as well and again reflects broader partisan dynamics — surveys over the last three decades have shown about one of every 10 Black Americans identifies as a Republican."
https://fivethirtyeight.com/features...-behind-trump/
"Our recent nationwide Battleground Tracker poll fielded just before the Democratic Convention shows that 90% of Black likely voters nationwide plan to cast their ballot for Joe Biden. In this, Biden is doing better among Black voters than Hillary Clinton did at this point in the campaign four years ago, according to the CBS News Election & Survey Unit."
https://www.cbsnews.com/news/2020-da...ds-2020-08-19/
Unfortunately all we have to go by are polls. I think Trump could get 12% of the Black vote and that would be an incredible result for him, especially if it comes in the battleground states he is protecting. The number of Black voters in 2016 was far less than in 2012, as one might expect. It will be interesting to see if more Black voters vote in 2020.

Ah. The Chief of the Idiot Crew returns from a forced vacation with his typical nonsensical drivel. Glad you were able to return as I know your life was meaningless when you werent able to sit typing away day and night on the ECCIE forum and provide us with lines of nothingness.
Have fun my old friend.

Lol. Uh huh. Says Trump maybe. He won’t be close to 16%. He’ll end up right about where he was in 2016, which was slightly better than Romney against Obama but similar to Bush against Kerry.

That's a Pipe Dream. All the Democrats want is power and the average citizen will remain powerless. This country is really not a Government for the people or by the people anymore and Democrats make that more and more obvious. That city you actually live in is a perfect example and it will get worse.

Those of you who seem dedicated to worshiping one or another of the Candidates .. .and those of you who are devoted to trashing either of the candidates; will you please re-read the OP.
This year, I do not think we are voting for or against either of these men. There are many disparaging things written about President Trump's character, integrity and ethics that i agree with. There are many disparaging things written about former Vice President Biden being equally unethical, misogynistic or perhaps even criminal. I mean all aspects of that statement to apply equally to both men. It is sad, but our system gives us those choices this year. In my view, neither one is a "better man."
What we are left with is the fundamentals of policy and cultural point of view that voting "for" one or the other of them will bring. It is my opinion that if the democrats win nationally and locally, we will see a sea-change in the society and culture of the USA as we have now known it. Some changes are already happening. I do not think that either Seattle or Portland will return to the vitality and charm they had when I last visited in 2014. Not for a long time anyway. Sure, this is in part due to the ravages of the Corona pandemic. But I believe that much of the lasting damage is due to the misadministration of the liberal-Democrat controlled governing bodies in both cities.
Other cities already affected that will never be the same are Minneapolis and St. Louis. Arguments can be made about root causes and systemic racism, but underlying all of them is the decades of policies and administration of Liberal Democrats.
The worst case of all will be New York City. Thousands of wealthy people have permanently left in the last few months. They are looking for tax havens such as Florida and Texas. Broadway and the entire theater district will not re-open till July of 2021. Thousands of local service related businesses have or will soone wither away because of that alone. Large corporations have decided to reduce their physical footprint in the city by 30% to 60% or more. Vacant office space is higher now than ever before. The same is true for r apartments.
Again the causes are several-to-many. However, any of the economic ramifications of the pandemic have been exacerbated by liberal-Democrat policies such as taxation and the failure to maintain order. There are others. Anyone can run amok, looting and burning in the name of peacefully protesting what most do recognize as social injustice . . .but let a religious minority dare to hold services and the mayor sends in the police.
To come back to the premise of the OP: My criteria for voting this year is NOT who is the better man (Jimmy Carter was a better man than most of us for example), but rather what will the country look like by this time in 2024?
Will we be well on the way to being Vesesuela or Cuba? Or will we look more like the USA of December 2019?

No it's not. Crime has been going up over the last four years and this years Homicide rate will be a record breaker. You live there and you can't see how it's falling apart.
