I don't care one way or another what happens really but where I grew up Grandfathering was all or none. You were either born before this date or not. Or in business you were either a previous customer or you were a new client. I do believe that is how it was meant to be.
But that is just my experience and what has been described here is more of a frequent flier discount. That is fine too.
Once again I don't care really I have X amount I can spend its alot of money to me, if that works it works if it does not whatever. Best of luck to all.

Traci, my little skinny dipping compadre, the forum is about discussing topics of the biz. And since this has gone on for four freakin pages then I obviously struck a nerve and one that both guys and gals alike have passionate views on and wish to discuss. So the posting is pretty relevent I think.
Waldo, no I don't think I've ever paid a grandfathered rate. Mostly because my memory is about as long as ma dick and always look up the lady's rate when I revisit her. The hypothetical scenario is just that. Hypothetical and I was expanding on some comments so the gals could better understanding from a client's perspective and maybe be more diplomatic in how they communicate a rate policy to a client.

In this case it's been 4-5mths after two-2hr and one-o/n visit(s).

Yeah, sounded totally hypothetical, Herc!
Not trying to get you mad, but Traci kind of has a point about the temper thing.

Wrong scenario Dannie. Meant the one I proposed on page 3. 1st one happened. And in that one I just said thanks but no thanks.
If making the choice to not have a provider put a guilt trip on me means I have a temper the call me a raving madman.

Then the provider has a family emergency and must take a hiatus for 4 to 5 months.
Client moves on to another provider and now has his needs fulfilled by another provider.
The first provider returns and requests her loyal client to return to their normal routine. Client then DEMANDS a steeper discount rate then previous because (through no fault of hers) the first provider was unable to meet his needs for several months.
By some of you gal''s logic the client is justified in his demands since the provider was unable to continue the arrangement on a timely basis.
Now tell me how you gals would react? My guess is most of you would tell the client to go pound sand.
IMO grandfathering is like circumcision. Either go all the way or forget it..
|
Hell yeah I'd tell you to go pound sand, why on earth would you expect me to come "running back to you" in the first place? And as far as you demanding a steeper discount...well go get bent. In case you haven't noticed the trend in the American market, prices go UP and they rarely go down. This is referred to as inflation.
You are buying a service from us. The hobby is a luxury not a necessity. You need to get your head screwed on straight and get things into perspective.
There, now I have addressed your all important scenerio.

Gawd I love pissing off people with their own logic!

I love how you jump at the chance to infer that I am classless when A) you left yourself wide open for a circumcision joke and B) you are the one on here showing a total lack of class with your whining hissy fit. Ah, but of course, lowering another person always makes you look/feel better. Maybe you can also work on learning to take a joke Also I hate to burst your bubble but you did not piss me off with my own logic, rather it seems that you are the one becoming increasingly pissed off. Temper, temper!

Am I the only one who would have no idea what somebody paid 5 months ago? Hence, go by current pricing scheme.

Good one HH. You could just check your billing invoices and duplicates of customer receipts, right?

So in your world only people with vaginas are allow to tell others to "go get bent". Clients should just suck it up?

In economics it's called supply and demand. The more supply the the lesser the demand and prices ajust accordingly. In this recession more women are turning to this business to make ends meet. Every day there's a fresh young thing willing to take your place. But this isn't about rates it's about being thrown on a guilt trip by a provider.

You did get one part right. Disposable income pays for luxury. There's less of it and more women. Duh....

Soooo in your world again if something is simply out there then it's open for targeting? Therefore since you're showing your cleavage in your avatar I can make fun of your small tits right? (learn to take a joke Marla!)
And yes I've told a provider I was dumping her when she asked me to pick her up for an outcall then bumped me then proceded to tell me "I'll call ya when I'm ready for ya". What you call "temper" I simply look at as not having to take shit off a woman who suffers from golden pussy syndrome.

Exactly! If she hadn't thrown the fact I hadn't seen her in a while in my face I would've just paid her going rate.
Now I got a date to get ready for! Life is good!

Hate women much Herc?
Oh my goodness, I KNOW! My small little 38D's are BARELY a mouthful, just dreadful!
If I grandfather you in at my current rate will you pay for me to get a boob-job? You can pay up front, and we can divide it by my current rate to get the number of sessions I will owe you. I will then pay you back with my golden pussy. BRILLIANT! I am so glad you offered to help me, whatever would I do without good-guys like you?

Interesting.
The hobby truly is a luxury for us guys. We COULD live without it. Life would suck initially without it, but guys aren't going to go hungry without it. In fact, without the hobby we'd free up more money for home projects, car repairs, hobbies (actual hobbies, not the, well...you know), and other things that we like to waste money on. Or we could just save it.
Now, for the ladies. The beautiful, lovely ladies of this business. What happens to the ladies if this 'luxury' came to an end? Let's say, hypothetically, that 'the law' got super serious against this business. "Dammit, stop involving yourself in prostitution, men and women, or we'll drop the hammer on you. We're going door to door across the country, warning everyone stop or we'll make you wish you did....blah, blah, blah", the ultimate Apocalypse for this business comes. Now what?
What happens to all of the providers in this business across the country?

Well, I imagine the women would get jobs, go back to stripping, retire, or generally find other methods of income depending on their situation in life. Basically, they'd do what anybody else who lost their job would do. We are talking about people, not mindless sex robots built for one thing (ok, maybe a few might fit that description )
If your implication is that they'd all be homeless and hungry, I think there might be a waiting list a mile long to volunteer at the Dallas soup kitchen!

Maybe so, and thanks for playing, Capt Hero.
Just wanted them to weigh the 'luxury' vs 'necessity'.
Yeah, going to 'get a job' is just so easy that ANYONE can do it, right? Hell, women are leaving (and losing) their jobs and coming to do THIS. You think it's THAT easy to go against the grain of traffic and 'just get a job'? Oh, btw, go from leaving a 'job' that pays a few hundred bucks an hour to.....Wal-Mart, $5-6 bucks an hour.
Luxury vs necessity. What if 500 hobbyists suddenly quit this 'luxury'?
When your 'necessities' depend on the 'LUXURY' of others, you might wanna be weary of how you treat and talk to/about them. Just like sitting next to some strippers while they're talking about a customer, and how much of a loser he is. Maybe he is a loser, but he [help] puts food on your table, pay your bills, support any personal, unhealthy habits you may have. What if he and others decide to stop being a loser? What happens to the 'beneficiary' of the loser(s)? Granted, not all providers and strippers NEED hobbyists and....SC goers to survive, BUT SOME DO.
None of us HAVE to see a provider. If you're dependent on 'losers' and 'lavishers of luxury', just how independent are you?
It's OK, ladies. You don't have to answer out loud. Hell, let the Bizz answer since he knows every fucking thing.

Rambro,
Whatever you do to relax, take a deep breath and do it, buddy. You asked a question, I gave an answer, not playing a hero. I'm sorry that I don't view this as an "us vs. them" scenario, nor do I lump all hookers into one category and all john's into another. Some girls need a wake up call, attitude check, or whatever you want to call it. Some guys do too.
I do apologize if I ruined all the fun in your clever little scenario, i really do.

LMAO. It is funny that you guys have your panties all in a wad.
I have a RL job, and it isn't making 6 bucks an hour at Wallyworld either. Many more of the ladies have good jobs than you realize. I don't NEED to do this, I choose to do it. So I can buy clothes at the boutique instead of Ross and Target, so I can buy chocolate at Godiva instead of Hershey bars, so I can get some strange dick, so I can have money left over after I pay my bills to put into savings. But if you don't visit me because I refuse to bow down to you and sugar coat everything, that's ok. The shoes and slacks at Ross and Target look just as good on me as the ones from Express ;-) And I can get strange dick anyday of the week. As for the Godiva, I will buy that whether I get sessions or not! And if I don't have any savings, oh well, my kids will have to take care of me when I am ancient and useless. No biggie!
The world really doesn't revolve around your penis and your wallet, anymore than it revolves around our "golden pussies."

Do you enjoy the hobby or what.
Every price thread or some sort of price thread, you pop up.
If the "luxury" of the hobby disappear, ladies will survive.
What kind of response should we post, oh geez, we are not going to make a living, we would do bad. You are not going to hear it. Maybe you want the woman to fall at your feet, and tell you how much they need you.
