How is that defending Koresh? He should have been prosecuted and jailed. Instead, the Clinton administration decided to kill him along with the children.
I'm not defending Koresh. I'm condemning the Clinton Administration for unnecessarily killing the children and others in their attempt to get Koresh. It didn't have to happen that way. But in no way am I defending Koresh.
No wonder you won so handily. You embody the very meaning of your title.

What is your point?
That "Amendment" was part of the original Bill of Rights. The Constitution was adopted by the Constitutional Convention in September 17, 1787, but was not ratified until March 4, 1789.
Even at the time of the Constitutional Convention, the amendments in the Bill of Rights were already being kicked around by the Convention members. But due to the urgency of replacing the Articles of Confederation, the Constitution was rushed to the states for ratification with the understanding that the new Congress would immediately act on adding the Bill of Rights (2nd Amendment included).
So Congress first met on March 4, 1789 and, by September of that year, Congress sent the Bill of Rights (the first 10 Amendments) to the states for ratification. The Bill of Rights was ratified effective December 15, 1791. It got done in under 3 years. Considering how slow communications were back in those days and the difficulty in holding elections, that's pretty damn fast.
More importantly, though, from a legal point of view, there is no substantive difference between the original document and the amendments. They all have equal validity. So, the Constitution includes the amendments. They are not separate or lesser.
Also, the 13th Amendment ending slavery was not ratified until December 1865. That is more than 7 decades after the Constitution. Is the 13th Amendment less valid than the 2nd Amendment or the original Constitution because it came later?

Again, I point out, JD never said 10 million people with guns should march on DC. That's how you misread it. JD said 10 gun OWNERS would march. They can leave the guns at home.

You're the one ignoring the facts and you know it. Your attitude is the same one that resulted in Tim McVeigh killing 168 Americans. Be proud asshole.

Thanks for the history lesson. My point was nevertheless true.
and why would 10 million gun owners march on Washington without their guns? How likely is that to happen?
Brilliant!

That is one stupid comment.

I'm not sure. What WAS your point about the 2nd Amendment not being in the original text of the Constitution? It is still IN the Constitution.

Very likely. I'm sure they participate in marches all the time - and they leave their guns at home. I'm sure they were out in force at in the numerous Tea Party marches, the Restoring Honor march, the Promise Keepers march, the numerous Rolling Thunder marches, and so on.
You're projecting your biases onto them.

DC has strict gun laws. Anyone carrying a weapon on the streets in DC would be arrested.

That would be some funny shit...a bunch of folks marching for their 2nd amendment right and to scared to carry a gun! Be like going to a titty bar and all the girls are to scared to take off their tops!

The gun owners who march at Tea Party rallies ... Are they there as gun owners or Tea Party supporters? What does it fucking matter?
Give me 10 MILLION angry "Americans", each of whom owns at least one gun, marching together to "express their support for their constitutional right to keep and bear arms, and ALL of them leave their guns at home.
OK. You're right.
I suppose we'll just have to disagree on that one.

If your head was in some pussy hole, you should have kept it there. You would be doing something useful with your head.
What is it with these loony tune liberals, who think that gun owners want to march armed to DC? No body is talking about this, except you and Assup.

Yeah, nobody denies that some of these people would be armed, whether they were asked to leave their guns at home or not. Even if that was the rule of the little "gun run." People would still be packing.
HOW THE FUCK DO YOU THINK ALL THESE HORRIFIC THINGS HAPPEN? Because people leave their guns at home? Or maybe because the one asshole in 10 million well adjusted gun owners is having a bad day... And spoils America for the rest of us.
You have the audacity to call US loony tunes?
DIPSHIT!

If anyone marching on Washingtton is stupid enough to be carrying a weapon, in violation of DC law, they would be arrested.
And Yes, you are loony tunes Assup. But Thanks for the many laughs which you provide.

Yes, you're looney tunes. Do you think the Sandy Hook and Aurora shooters were well adjusted, legal gun owners? Really?
I suppose you have to make these stupid remarks to keep your title of

For a change the Unaliar is either not reading my post or just lying about it. I said that these things happen because the one asshole among the 10 million responsible gun owners has a bad day.
You believe otherwise? That there are more lunatics who have guns legally? That you believe there are ten million responsible gun owners who woul peacefully march on Wahington and leave their weapons home? That the Aurora and Sandy hook shooters were well adjusted? That they fired guns obtained legally?
Come back when you have a position of substance.
Lets stop the killing.
Or is that unamerican?
