Yay, a whole 1 in many areas monopolizing those areas giving little to no choice to people in those areas. NOT the promise of Obamacare exchanges and much smaller than the initial offerings. Insurers fled over time.

And continued to flee until an anemic recovery in 2018. And done by overburdening premiums and out of pocket expenses, especially to those in non subsidized plans. Again, Not the promise that was Obamacare.

A large portion of that increase in numbers covered was due to the Medicaid expansion that really wasn't Obamacare and was simply another tax grab to expand Social Welfare. The other significant portion came from the scam of the mandate which has been removed and as the above chart from BB shows, looks to shrink radically. And will be another death knell to the insurers that are currently making a profit since 2017.

Couple that with the fact that Trump can't remove the subsidy to help pay premium with an executive order, the ACA will be here to stay. If the ACA was going to collapse from its own weight, that would have already happened.
A piece of the ACA will remain, yes, I never said complete collapse. Just that it continues to collapse of it's own weight, the removal of certain regulations contained within it, and the basic fact it's meeting almost none of it's initial promises.

It's already a shell of what it was(a debacle in the first place) and I still think the removal of the mandate is going to have far wider ramifications moving forward as other offerings(such as catastrophic plans/etc.) begin to be made available again.

This is your second retraction in this thread. You can gripe all you want about the health insurance companies making the decision to not sell at HealthCare.Gov. The health insurance companies are not going to fight each other for customers who are already sick. You need to consider the big picture. Before the ACA law was passed in the individual market people who had pre-existing conditions were DENIED the opportunity to purchase health insurance, even if they had the ability to pay.

The ACA fixed this problem and now 92% of all citizens have some type of health insurance. Last thing, the 10 million people who ended up with the Expanded Medicaid instead of a private health insurance plan didn't have the income to get a private plan. To get a private plan you must fall in the category of family of 4 and make at least $24,000. If your income is less than that the software will send you to your state Medicaid.

The Gumment redistributes "OTHER PEOPLES MONEY" to General Motors. The same subsidy that Trump made a threat to stop sending when GM announced plans to close a plant in Ohio that makes the Chevy Malibu. You have never said one word about that. Plus your other hero Bush43 did the same thing with Medicare Part D which helps seniors pay for prescriptions that they can't afford on their own. What a hypocrite you are.
