I saw a good one tonight when a Provider on BP, said she was "waiting with 'baited' breath". I so hope it's not Catfish bait.....

Here are a few errors from a post in the Alerts section.
- gentlemen vs. gentleman
- your vs. I am
- you vs. I
- waisted vs. wasted
- there vs. their

I got corrected on this the other day, it's bated. one mistake I will never make again.
I'm sure BM would agree with me on this one,
The issue is mute.
It's moot sweetie.

I'm in total agreeance with this one

"no" in place of "know"
I can't stand that one.
Unfortunately sometimes spell check will only correct a word that is misspelled not a word that is misused lol.

Apparently, quite a few people.
Personally, as long as it's not intelligible, I don't mind the misspellings and grammatical errors. Some of them are actually quite funny, IMO.

The misuse of the words Idea and Ideal.
I have a buddy that drives me crazy, it's always "Hey, I've got an ideal!"
No my man, it's not even much of an idea and it's far from ideal!
I also recently saw a sign at a gas station that said "Debit cards now excepted here!"
I assume they meant accepted, but who knows, maybe they take all cards except debit cards now.

Misspelled words humorous...yes. However it would seem that after multiple mentions of said misspelling, the abusers would learn.
Grammar errors....sure. The same applies here. Wouldn't you imagine continual exposure would eventually reinforce the learning experience?
Regarding the quote above.......not intelligible.....PRICELESS!

Chainsaw, just saw that.
That's the other fun part of this equation, the iPhone autocorrect. Misspell a word, either through ignorance or a mistype, and you get loads of fun.
At least I think thyself what happened. (perfect example, typed "that's" and somehow wound up with "thyself".)

Uhhhh, those of us who have intelligence and prefer to communicate accordingly. Verbal/written communication is the single most important skill humans have. It is what separates us as a species from all other. Not caring about it is fine, but don't get upset when you are perceived as being lower on the intelligence spectrum. The occasional typo is one thing, but constant poor grammar in any form (usage, spelling, punctuation, etc.) shows a distinct lack.
I get really sick of being made a pariah because I'm such a stickler about it, but I look at it this way; I may be anal but at least I'm not an idiot.

Apostrophe S is plural except in the case of the "it is" contraction. "Its" is the possessive. The old "i before e except after c or when sounded as A as in neighbor and weigh" would be a good motto. I see "recieved" a lot and all the "deffinatlee" derivitives.
Good call Laz on "Independent".
Political correctness is killing the language. I remember when "busty" meant "big tits", "challenged" meant "dare ya", "mature" meant your parents or grand parents and "petite" meant, well, petite. But now a mature, challenged, busty provider is a really a fat wheelchair bound 27 year old midget hooker retard.
Oh well.....
