I don't know much about Sullivan, but if this is a representative example of his thought process I have to read more. One of the most reasonable, simple statements I have heard.
The extremists on almost any stand are repressive and intolerant. They justify it by some form of "My intolerance isn't as bad as those who are intolerant against me", but typically they are wrong. Intolerance generally only begets more intolerances. Gay activist extremists, Thumper extremists, environmental extremists, gun rights extremists, prohibition extremists, pro-Israel extremists, anti-Israel extremists, etc., etc.

I have never met a person who is pro-Israel and an extremist. They have all seemed reasonable to me.

Really? Are you saying you never MET a pro-Israel extremist or are you saying they don't exist? What about the guy who assassinated Yitzhak Rabin?

That is the most FUCKED UP HAIR, I have EVER seen.

From wikipedia:
"She is known for her unique hair style, with her hair cut in a bob on the right side of her head, and very short on the left. Her hair coincidentally bears a resemblance to the Firefox logo."
Evidently Mozilla's board is more tolerant of diversity in hairstyles than in political views.

Mozilla's board of directors believes in the same principle Miss America articulated back in 1971:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b2qDF0D8wuQ
"Differences of opinion should be tolerated, but not when they're too different. Then he becomes a subversive mother."

According to Rasmussen 73% of the American people believe that a baker (or any other merchant) should have the right to refuse service based on religious grounds.

Seems like the San Fransisco fascists (and the fascists on this board) are on the right side of the issue.

I am of the opinion that JD Idiot's mother should have refused service to his dad.
I can only imagine a world without JD Idiot, his identical twin brother IB and their defecting Jewish brother.

I've never personally met someone who I consider a pro-Israeli extremist. I never met the assassin of Rabin.

Then the baker is no different than the gays who ran this guy off from his job.
Maybe if you won't bake a cake for a gay couple , you shouldn't bitch when a gay couple wants you fired.
Sounds like a whole bunch of intolerance on both sides if you ask me.

You know that doesn't even make sense. Why isn't anyone surprised by that.
