Thatdude I have to respectfully disagree there are pictures of Mike Brown all over the internet with bags of weed, throwing up gang signs and holding weapons he wanted to portray the gangster lifestyle - he was far from being a model citizen or an angel. Remember there are lot of gang bangers who live a thuggish life style ex: bear up people, car jack sell illegal narcotics but have clean records because they haven't been caught that doesn't make them a good person. I don't think the black community should paint mike brown as if he was some church going law abiding straight A student that never committed a crime in his life- the way I look at it if you shoplift something as inexpensive as cigars without any care if the world you would rob and steal anything.

But to call one a Thug and the other a young man.. The young man had warrants for felony robbery. They were both still young and had time to turn things around.

Not to be a bitch Ms Star... But how many of them really turn things around? They DONT!!!! They are unfortunately stuck in a culture and system that allows them to act like they do!!!...Our welfare system lets some folks live and not become self sufficient. Ive been around awhile and have seen so much!!!! They just don't!!! Whether personal or cultural, some just get stuck in a rut!!! I can only say that I feel so badly for the children that have to grow up in these horrible neighborhoods!!! Until this world changes there will be no change!!!!....We just need to educate and quit giving people a free ride!!!!! generations of some people in this country have lived off of welfare!!! If we don't stop it then neither will they!!!

Between 30,000 and 40,000 people are arrested each DAY.. About 400 people are shot and killed by cops per YEAR. Do the math. What are these 400 shot by police doing different??

To speak of one.. .. me. Who now at the age of 29 would be dead if I continued on the destructive path I was once on. I know this topic sparks a lot of emotions and questions with many from all walks of life. Everyone has a different view. I think this is a healthy discussion and in no way mean any disrespect towards you from my posts. I am just drawn to this situation so much for some reason, It has nothing to do with the race of the young men, but just the situations. Every one was born into different circumstances and I do believe people can change for the better. The world is a messed up place,Trust me.. I know that! Althoiugh I just don't believe violence or death will solve anything.. it just creates a domino affect. What hope are we giving the next generation of children.


The only thing that drew me in to respond in the first place was all the name calling of the young man and the .. you reap what you sow comment.
Nobody crawls through the dirt and comes out clean.
I believe you are a strong minded woman.. I really do believe that.
But you do not have to put a label on those who may still have struggles to prove that.

Thank you Dear, I do not think I ever mentioned his race. Ive known plenty of folks that are thugs that weren't black. and I also believe that some are just born to be bad. The father of my children was convicted of 33 aggravated armed robberies and spent 10 yrs in TDC... he changed somewhat but was never able to really let go of who he was He perished in a motorcycle accident and Ive always thought that he reaped what he sowed!!! I simply think that how you treat other people has a lot to say who you are as a person..... The Golden rule says... 16 year old who was killed Christmas day in Grand Prairie by GPPD along with video footage.
He did shoot at officers. It happens in our own back yard. He should have been at home with his family.

I remember that!!! And other than that one night we never heard much about it if anything at all! So tell me what makes this case much different!!! UUGGGHHH! Absolutely fucking nothing!!!!! I do understand why some folks feel put upon!!!!! But maybe there is a reason for that!!!! Culture seems to breed a certain kind of people. Neither good nor bad but some behaviors are simply more prevalent in some more than others!!!! We didn't riot when this kid got shot, nor did it really get much attention!!!! So why this one? At the end of the day it doesnt whether they are black white, rich or poor, on welfare or paying for welfare. We all have the right to justice. The officer had a taser, heck he even had his silly club. The kid while not a model citizen was not armed. So all of this how he was living and other remarks on his actions are really just veiled attempts to hide the true racist mentality. If this was a white kid shot in the street with out a weopon this thread would have been why did the cop shot him not, the cop should have shot him thoughts of this thread
