Interesting perceptions. I think the W’s are one it the teams that complain the least in the league. They’re positively stoic when compared to Harden and the Rockets. But frankly, players lobbying for calls doesn’t bother me. I’m much more focused on the quality of the game they play before the whistle. Coaches complain. Players complain. Announcers complain. Fans complain. The league makes a LTM report public that shows who crewed up and how. Scrutiny of officiating is just part of the game.
Why does it bother you when a player expresses an opinion? I’m honestly very curious?
Back to Oakland fir Game Six. The pressure shifts to Toronto, now. A shame KD probably won’t be able to play again.

Tough break for KD man! He went out on his sword like a warrior though, and his contribution mattered. He was on pace to go for 40+ the way he was playing. Even in the small amount of time he played, it was extremely obvious how much of a difference his presence on the floor makes, and he proved why people trying to push the narrative that they don't need him had no clue what they were talking about. Toronto most likely will pull this off, but after tonight there's no doubt in my mind that GS may have ended this in 5 (6 at the most) with KD on the floor.

Like a MUTHAFUKA! WOW the Raptors are gonna regret that shit because now it's probably going 7 for sure...no way GS loses their last home game in that arena ever, especially since now KD is gone for good this series

For GS to stay alive they need Cousins to REALLY have a great game and contribute. He's been inconsistent though and he's clearly still not 100%. If he can give them quality minutes like he did last game and game 2 iirc they may have a chance.
They also need the best version of Draymond to show up and for him to give a little more on the offensive end. He needs at least around 18+ points in addition to his normal rebounds, assists, and defensive intensity.

Draymond and Cousins look like two adult cry babies when things don't go their way, I know GS is gonna play hard next game at home, will it be enough to have a game 7? At least we'll get one more game if Toronto losses tomorrow
Maybe Drake will get in their head from the sideline, at least he's cheering for the home team this season.

Yeah Draymond is playing with fire. One more tech and he's suspended for a game. That would be crazy if they win game 6 but Draymond gets a tech and can't play in game 7. He'd never live it down, especially since the narrative is that he most likely cost them a chip when he got suspended in the 2016 finals.

I still haven’t heard why it bothers everybody so when players react to calls or express an opinion about the officiating. Anyone care to explain why the guys who actually play are the only ones who don’t get a say or shouldn't have an opinion?

It doesn't bother me too much. However, I do understand to an extent.
For one, you may have an issue like Draymond's where he was suspended in the 2016 finals and likely cost his team the series, and now he's now on the brink of being suspended in the finals AGAIN all b/c of technical fouls. So complaining about calls and going at the refs can definitely cost your team if you don't know how to reel it in. On a lower level it can also cost your team if you get ejected.
Secondly is focus. When you get TOO caught up in the officiating it can take your head out of the game sometimes. For instance, Houston was more focused on the refs bailing them out then locking in and taking care of business. Harden and Paul seemed more concentrated on trying to flop and bait refs into calls than actually making sure they made the shot sometimes. I knew they were done in that series when the players and even the front office got so caught up in the officiating. Then there are several times you can see a player complaining about a call instead of getting back on defense, putting his team at a disadvantage on the other end of the floor.
You can also turn the refs against you, making it your team vs the other team & the refs, as opposed to your team vs the other team.

Being rude to the refs affects the whole team and can cost them a game/series, in every game you will get bad calls on both sides
DG is a dirty player, he kicks and hits players on the face to stop them, GS has a history of injuring opponents during the playoffs
They might be a good scoring team but would never hang with any of the old great teams in any era. One guy always seems to break them down, imagine a whole team

Rude was when the Toronto fans were cheering the injury of Durant.

It was more the initial excitement that he was out and they had the upper hand again, but they calmed down after seeing that he was really hurt, I did the same thing from home when it first happened
GS should be ashamed for putting him out there in the first place, Jalen Rose reported the day before that KD's workout did not go good but was cleared to play the following day?
