And Jerry is achieving his goal, apparently. According to the latest Forbes magazine, the Dallas Cowboys are the most valuable franchise in the NFL. Why, I have no idea, but they are.

It's because loser saps line up to throw money at Jerky for his over priced concessions, parking and Chinese trinkets, not to mention the dreck he spreads across the field.
Remember a second string OT named Tyson Chandler? He had both a BS and Masters degree in economics. He also had the guts to say that NO city had ever recouped their investment in facilities for sports teams. Next day he was traded to the Redskins. Coincidence? Not on your tintype!

Go Stars.
Good God that was...embarrassingly funny...there might have been more red in the stands than blue...
One play says it all...Romo searching for a receiver, getting protected rather decently...there's a guy wide open near the sidelines, and...Mr. Deer In The Headlights throws and it's not even close. That play, that ONE PLAY tells me Romo has neither the guts, the talent, the wisdom or the drive to EVER make it to a Super Bowl. Fuck it; he has his $60M.

Because Arlington and Tarrant County decided to foot $800mm to Jerry's Taj Mahal. I wonder what Arlington's cut of revenues for the Boss Hog Bowl events are...

I made a decision in 2008 to purchase 4 season tickets with the idea that it would be something that I could do with my 25 year old son on a regular basis. Up until about 3 years ago we enjoyed tailgating and going to the games and I would occasionally give some of the tickets away to friends or clients.
Nowadays I have no interest in watching this pathetic excuse of a team...thanks Jerry. However, I have found that I can usually sell my tickets on StubHub to fans of the opposing team for significantly higher than face value.
So hey...it's an investment that's paying off...LMFAO. Bring it on Saints fans!

A life-long Cowboy fan, blue-collar worker who is possibly a family man....has two, maybe three kids....hasn't been able to justify the costs of attending Cowboy games for years now (especially when he can be comfortable at home and watch this crap for free).
America's Team now has America's Stadium....there's a huge WELCOME MAT at the front door and fans all over the country are flocking here to cheer on their team. When questioned about it, post-game, Jerry Jones was in total denial.....he would not acknowledge that he even noticed yesterday's crowd discrepancy (40%+ wearing Niner RED). He's either blind....or completely stupid.
Over the years, Cowboy fans have gone from frustration to disgust and are now firmly entrenched in complete and total apathy. And that apathy has totally robbed the Cowboys of any kind of a home field advantage they might have enjoyed in the past. Landry and Schramm have got to be spinning in their graves.
Jones' sports empire has recently been valued by Forbes at $3.2 billion (another turn off to Cowboy fans). That "empire" has become a punchline and is the laughing stock of the league.
Opposing teams have no fear whatsoever coming to Jerry World; in fact, they look forward to the trip now.....they enjoy the comfort of playing indoors....with 20- 30- 40 thousand plus of their own fans cheering them onto a "road" victory.

well.. one good (?) thing to come out of this.. from the buzz I'm hearing and reading, people aren't making excuses this time.. except for Garrett and Romo, of course.. the fans, writers, observers acknowledge the Cowboys are a pile of shit. none of the "look for the bright spots, it's just one game, but look Murray rushed for 122 yards" nonsense that would have been said previously.

Arlington is getting a good ROI on Jerry World, just like Jerry. As others have said, this isn't about football anymore and hasn't been for probably the last 15 years.
This is about franchise value now. And Jerry is laughing about all the midgetwrestler s in this world that hate but still talk about his team. Cha ching.

We live in a capitalist society. Everything institution we have is driven by money. Religion is no longer a system of philisophical beliefs; it's a business.
Politics is not a framework designed to bring about a fair and just government; it's a business.
Christ, even sex (whether you're married or not) is a business.
I can live with that. But football? Holy mother of God; is nothing sacred?

This whole Cowboy situation is the classic definition of a cluster fuck. I don't think Jones is dumb. He knows Texans love football to the extent they'll pay $70 just to park and $65 for a standing room only place in the Stadium.
The vast majority of fans will never boycott this.
No one can afford to buy the franchise from Jones.
Like I said: This a real cluster fuck.

The "clusterf*ck" has come to roost.......in fact, in full view of Jerry Jone's private suite. He's Dr Frankenstein and "the monster" he's created has turned on him.....
In a way, Cowboy fans actually are boycotting home games.....however they're doing it on their terms. While season ticket owners can't dump out on their PSL's, they sure can sell AND turn a nice profit on their game ticket(s).
This is going to play out again and again over the next few weeks.....New Orleans is coming to town....and then the "hottest" ticket going: the Houston Texans visit the following week.
Jerry's monster is giving him the finger while embarrassing him at the same time. Cowboy fans ain't buying it any more.....they're tired of the lies, the phony alibis.....the smart ones can read the writing on the wall that this season is going to totally blow.
