Those masks are not designed to stop something as small as a virus. They great for particulates, okay for bacteria, but really suck with viruses.

Through the CDC website I found this article (not well publicized in OUR MEDIA) ..

Here is a quote from the "Politico":

"By BILL TOMSON | 10/12/14 7:05 AM EDT Updated: 10/13/14 10:10 AM EDT

"Ebola is threatening much of the world’s chocolate supply.

"Ivory Coast, the world’s largest producer of cacao, the raw ingredient in M&M’s, Butterfingers and Snickers Bars, has shut down its borders with Liberia and Guinea, putting a major crimp on the workforce needed to pick the beans that end up in chocolate bars and other treats just as the harvest season begins. The West African nation of about 20 million — also known as Côte D’Ivoire — has yet to experience a single case of Ebola, but the outbreak already could raise prices."

Read more: http://www.politico.com/story/2014/1...#ixzz3GP6RfKct

Let me get his straight:

The Ivory Coast can shut down its borders to keep out Ebola, but "WE" can't?

And they are neighbors .... what does it say .....

"The West African nation of about 20 million — also known as Côte D’Ivoire — has yet to experience a single case of Ebola,...."

But "WE" have thousands of miles away across "the Pond"!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !

And why is IC doing it ..... TO SAVE THEIR ECONOMY!!!!!!

Why AREN'T WE DOING IT ..... TO SAVE THEIR ECONOMIES!!!!

Now you might know why the media isn't reporting this story, even though it is on the CDC website!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

3. Perhaps the scientists at the CDC need to revise what the max temperature should be before they give the green light to let someone on a plane.

4. She should not lose her license. It was not her fault that the CDC allowed her to get on the plane.
Wrong, wrong, wrong, wrong.

The CDC already admitted she shouldn't have left Dallas and they were mistaken to tell her to get back on the plane.

I say under 10.

This is nothing but a political game....the more the GOP can scare, the better their chances are in the mid term. You are one naive dumbass if you do not realize this.
Does increasing the font size help puff up your ego?

My guess is 10 or less would be a good bet especially considering only one of the 6(?) people who've had the disease in this country have died.

I believe I wrote on one of these threads that since none of the people in the apt. Duncan was in has gotten the disease that it isn't that easy to transmit. My issue is where do we contain the disease? It's much easier, cost effective and beneficial in terms of human life to contain it in the 3 West African nations that to contain an outbreak(s) here. Last I read 6000 people in those countries have died.

About the political game part, if you watch the news channels in last few days every channel but probably Fox and MSNBC isn't trying to make "political hay" out of this. TV, internet and newspapers are just doing the usual job of getting eyes on their product. I think its fair to say that that the CDC is "Obama's FEMA."

I took Flight's conclusions to be focused on the worker's decision making.

My conclusions were based on a "lawful order" analysis .... the "order" was "lawful" .... it was IN HINDSIGHT wrong ..... because the "proper" decision given the lack of complete and accurate information regarding how the virus is transmitted DEMANDS a conservative decision to minimize risks to those who have not yet been exposed.

IMO she should have personally made that decision herself for herself, but that is not worthy of pulling her ticket based on what is being reported, and the instructions given by the CDC personnel she contacted (if that is true).

Biggest flaw in your "stop all flights coming from Africa" Is they fly somewhere else before coming here. If you are going to screen it would be passports or visa's with a point of origin in the infected country's or stop all flight's period.

Dear Sir......

#1: There are NO DIRECT COMMERCIAL FLIGHTS from those countries to the U.S.

#2: I said:

"Had they stopped travel to this country ASAP from West African countries,...

Must you alter what others post to make yourself look intelligent and relevant to the discussion? Did I say "FLIGHTS"? NO! I said "TRAVEL"!! Get the difference.

The IVORY COAST CLOSED THEIR BORDERS TO TRAVEL FROM THOSE COUNTIRES ..... THE IVORY COAST HAS HAD NO EBOLA INFECTIONS ...

1 - 1 = ZERO. And it is friggin next door!!!!

Dear stupid lexie they go through Europe and other places, you should be asking the infected countries to close their boarders or stop all flights coming into the USA. Now squirm and try to lie your way out of that. I was aware there are no direct flights it is not news. We are not next door .

Do you think your name calling makes you look more intelligent?

Do we have a "no fly list" today?

All I can say about YOUR (and the administration's) bullshit about how much trouble it is to keep track of where people depart when they head for the U.S. is ...... the war on terrorism is lost AND brace yourself for another hit!

I'm probably more aware than you are of folks with "multiple" passports, but to say we should NOT try to stop anyone, because we can't stop everyone is ....

dumb and stupid.

And since you like to call others "stupid" ...

the word is spelled "BORDERS" ...

.... not "BOARDERS" as YOU DO GENIUS.

You all do remember that they stopped all flights over the Ukraine a few months ago because of the shoot down? They could cancel every flight out of or into those three countries if they wanted to.

Thank you for pointing out my typing error, does it make you feel superior? Please explain who is going to enforce your no travel ban. Do not suppose you are more aware than me on anything save sticking your foot in mouth.

If it was a real threat they would have done that. It isn't, so they need the drama. It's very plain to see that. Hell CNN has already sent crews to Liberia to film and they are even paying these poor people to act like they are sick. They are exaggerating the whole situation. It's becoming more obvious by the day.
