Well clearly, this is topic has very differing opinions! However, as with Valerie's post (and many other posts in this thread), the topic is not about Pipefitter or Sweetbrandy or even how hot Valerie is (I agree 100% btw and would jump her bones in a heartbeat, lol)! The topic is about Facebook as it relates to the "Hobby" - please stick to it!
For the record, I have a personal facebook account, but my 6 posts a year clearly don't make me an expert so maybe I am clueless on this issue. I might be missing something, but personally, I don't see how girls marketing themselves on Facebook is much different than using ECCIE, P411, EROS, BP, etc. Facebook may have started as a family oriented site, but seems to have taken on a life of its own and evolved to the point where it's a big social environment for businesses, universities, politicians, churches, and an endless variety of themed groups. Facebook (and its countless advertisers) seem happy with any audience they can get and must not really monitor accounts, since some of their members commonly use made-up usernames just like we do here and they clearly don't pay attention to age restrictions, based on some accounts that I've seen.
Since the groups can be made private, and entered only by invitation, I don't see how there would be an issue with the wrong person just stumbling into a bunch of escort photos and the associated advertisements. Now I definitely don't believe anyone (guys or girls), under any circumstances, should be forced (or coerced) into turning over their bodies and do things that are against their will - wrong, Wrong, WRONG! I completely agree with anyone objecting to girls being exploited on facebook, but how does using facebook differ than girls in that situation on BP, ECCIE, etc?
I'll bet it happens as much (but probably more) using other mediums than facebook. I have met girls on CL, BP, and even ECCIE, who didn't even know about their ads or Showcases and clearly didn't even have access to them, so that doesn't sit right with me, though the girls weren't always unhappy with the situation. Most have been agency girls, though I'm sure "pimps" clearly exist, but again it's no different with facebook than any other site.
Now as far as pimps go, there is quite a difference in what people consider a pimp. Many of us may still picture the stereotypical black man, with the gold teeth, chains around his neck, and pimp cane, driving his girls around in a caddy, lol. In reality, I'd guess there are just as many white men and woman pimps and the result is the same and still wrong if it's forced upon someone out of fear, survival, or any other reason. Again, no difference in my mind whether facebook is the medium or not.
Also debatable is at what point a person is classified as a pimp and not just a helpful person! I've met quite a few girls on BP, who've expessed a dislike for that medium and I've invited some to join ECCIE. If I wrote a review on them, VP status is a done deal, so does that make me a pimp? I don't think so, since they were already part of the "hobby" world and I felt I was just assisting them to get a better place/way to market themselves. Is pimp status tied to getting some benefit from the girls "work"? So far, no girl has ever offered me a free session or BB service for my help, nor would I even consider either. That doesn't mean I'd say no, if a girl offered me extra time in a session as appreciation for my help, lol but I'd never ask, nor expect it. Is similar assistance to girls using facebook any different? Not to me, "IF" the girl is asking for help and her arm isn't being twisted to do something she's doesn't want to. As someone else mentioned, I look at a pimp as someone who takes most of the girls money and does their best to make sure she can't easily get out of that situation. Is that what an agency does - I doubt it in most cases, but many of us here in the south are aware of how most of the low-life agencies could care less about the girl and don't bother to screen, being onlyl interested in their cut. Not to say that there aren't reputable agencies, who don't steal ads, send bait & switch girls, etc. I've talked to many girls who were happy they started with a good agency, which took the burden of screening and scheduling off them and all they had to do was show up do what they were already good at. A good agency is only there as long as the girl needs them and it's a mutual benefit, but I'll bet that's few and far between. Either way, is it any different if that agency uses facebook to advertise the girls?
Finally, what about the views regarding how girls using facebook groups affect competition and rates - now those seem to be volatile areas of concern! Those two kind of go hand in hand to me, like economics theories on supply and demand. If providers are in short supply, guys are willing to pay more or they have to do without. On the hand, if you are a guy in a hobby rich area like Dallas and San Antonio (maybe Huntsville) then centerfold/GFE quality girls at $150 an hr is common and $100 specials abound. We see specials like that even here on BP, but I'm guessing that's just because some of those girls have bills to pay and $60 for a quickie is better than no income. I'll agree it's sad that girls are in that situation, but most guys aren't made of money either, so nobody should blame them for going with the best deal. Don't we all do the same when we are shopping for cars, clothing, etc? Of course I can see why guys are unhappy when that same girl joins ECCIE and then sometimes with the urging of other providers or just by checking out the other provider ads, their prices double overnight. I don't see how facebook itself changes anything with respect to rates and many ECCIE ladies in this thread have said they use facebook in some way, with respect to the hobby (though not to advertise some bargain basement rate).
Now, I can understand how competion might not be a wanted situation to a provider! I don't really want someone who's willing to offer the work I do for less money and I wouldn't expect a provider to either. Naturally, most sane guys are going to hit that beautiful 20 year old for a lower price. Of course we sometimes find that we get what we pay for and the same level of service isn't there, that we get from an experienced ECCIE provider, but sometimes it's just about the eye candy or saving money!
Long story short, I don't see how young girls on a facebook group, charging reduced rates is different than similar girls on BP or anywhere else. Then again, maybe I'm just naive or plain wrong (as I've been before). Just my .02 cents worth!

This is a Blad topic.. It is pretty much a guarantee it will go off topic more times than an established escort can cuss the young hotties on facebook
Ok example. A hot little blonde in the B'ham metro area started her own page and her profile pic was her wearing a tshirt that said "Looking for a Sugar Daddy".. She became quite popular and decided to just earn a little extra cash the old fashioned way. She asked some guys what she should charge and the popular concision was $150 an hour. she was more than ok with that and still a year later is. And it was decided to keep her well away from eccie or any other escort board. Turned out to be a win for a lot of guys in that south of B'ham enclave..
Since the groups can be made private, and entered only by invitation, I don't see how there would be an issue with the wrong person just stumbling into a bunch of escort photos and the associated advertisements. It isn't.. Some people just get their thongs in a twist because they cannot "advise" this newbie on how to run her business (i.e. jack up rates to lessen competition).. Plus being a very limited invitation only deal it is easily tracked back to who told her about eccie or any other escort board or put her in touch with a "verified" provider. Not like it is here when you share info on an utr and some moronic pussy whipped jackass tells his "verified" ATF and it goes downhill from there..
I'll bet it happens as much (but probably more) using other mediums than facebook. It was happening back when myspace was popular. a lot. And pimps clearly exist here yet the ones so against facebook fail to even acknowledge that fact.

EXACTLY!! Women pimps "advising" younger newer providers.. Taking them under their wing for a cut but justifying it as "helping" the young lady out.. If the chick wants a pimp that is her choice.. I could care a less as long as i don't get pimp drama. And if i do it will be dealt with in a manner in which insures it will never happen again.
Also debatable is at what point a person is classified as a pimp and not just a helpful person! See my above.. And saying EVERY chick on facebook is forced into it like a few certain people have alluded to here is just re-fuck-tarded..

Hey they got themselves into it by choice so i do not feel sorry if business is slacking because someone younger, hotter, and cheaper comes along. Real businesses modify their business model to meet competition. If they do not and fail it is their own fault.
Now, I can understand how competion might not be a wanted situation to a provider! One cannot possibly corner the market on pussy.. Way way too much of it running around cheaper or just free. And when brought about properly the younger ones can surpass the established ones faster that even I could have imagined

Gina,
You are very correct. If the FED becomes interested in your (speaking generically) business, it usually involves money laundering, drugs, tax evasion, etc. Interestinly the Spitzer deal started with his attempt to fly under the radar with regards to reporting all cash transactions over $10K. The bank reported these incidences to the IRS, one thing led to another and the propietors of the Emerald Club were eventually charged with the Mann Act which is essentially interstate trafficing of prostitution. Since local laws (Nevada) dictate the legality of prostitution, as far as I know, from a Federal level the Mann Act is really the only prosecutorial tool available and is mostly used when they are pissed about something else they cannot make stick. Or you have a high profile Govenor involved. I may be wrong, but I do not think Spitzer was ever charged with anything. The FED is not going to waste time on "clients", they leave that to the local DA. Date Check, P411, etc are not "madams" getting a cut and so I am really not sure how any law is violated, local or federal and as I said, unless you are a Govenor, the FED is not generally interested in a client list other than for maybe a witness.

Earlier today, received an email (through ECCIE) from one of the $300+ an hour chicks. She's very pretty and I'm sure she is well worth her rate. However, due to the free-market economy and some hot UTR local girls, I don't pay 300 an hour. So, we can pretend this conversation is about Facebook, but it's really about greed.

SLAP!
Come on - you need to at least mention the topic, like "Valerie is so hot, I'd join her facebook group, just to get a taste of her"!
I hadn't intended the prior post to be book, but I was really trying to look at it from both sides and just kept thinking of more things to consider.

Well, I'd be inclined to agree that there's a problem if a girl is somehow "Forced" into the group or "Forced" to drop her rate!
