First, I would call a lawyer and ask for advice on how to approach the cops about this so you won't get into your own trouble. Perhaps have the lawyer with you when you go see the cops. While the odds are that the threats will not amount to anything, occasionally some whack job will escalate this stuff into action.
Second, I would suggest all you women invest in self defense classes. EACH AND EVERY ONE OF YOU!! I would suggest Krav Maga. Very practical self defense oriented with none of the bullshit in most of the judo or karate classes you find. Very hands on and to the point. I took a series of classes but had to quit because I broke my hand while blocking an attack. But very worthwhile and I learned a lot.

Get a CCW, all that karate stuff may look good in a Bruce Lee movie but in real life Colt always wins.

is it possible to provide information about the person making the threats to the Mods on here.. have that person permanently banned. and meanwhile, block the number of the person making the threats... and if that doesn't work.. call the cops? (not so sure about the last one)..

There is nothing wrong with doing both; some martial art and a CCW. If you have a CCW there is nothing wrong with carrying a punch dagger or something small.

Actually there is, at least in Kansas, A CCW *only* covers firearms, not knives or batons.

That's true. In Kansas, only handguns are covered. In Missouri (where it's Concealed Carry Weapon... not sure what it is in Kansas), you can conceal carry any weapon.

If you have room for a small dagger you have room for a jframe or sub-compact. If you punch a dude in the gut with a knife that is just going to piss them off.
Get some proper training with your firearm.
Draw, fire, repeat till threat stops being a threat.

I'm not talking about legal issues. That is up to you, your comfort level, and your risk factor. What I am talking about is you could carry a number of small weapons on your person. A two inch knife blade may not seem like very much when you compare it to a .45 but if it is he only thing you have on you....
