Ben Hur was the first film that I have ever walked out on. The pivotal point occurred when Morgan Freeman showed up with his dreadlocks and his panned performance. I knew then that the film was going to be bad.

i think im going to still see it.

I love Kate Mara.

General consensus is that it starts off promising and gets really crappy, but then take a sharp dive into the ground during the third act. No where near as good or thought provoking as ex-machina. Ridley's progeny is more concerned with gore, then creating a cohesive movie.

Next week is SULLY - see in IMAX - first Hollywood movie to be nearly shot entirely in IMAX.

and

Oliver Stone's Snowden - which i know will be biased, but i want to see if Oliver Stone still has it and doesn't hold back.

Morgan was ok,

It's got a good look to it, but kind of all over the place with a tidy last second twist to explain everything (although you should have a pretty good guess where they are going). Kate Mara is clearly trying to channel Kate Beckinsale (Being proficient with weapons and hand to hand combat while looking fantastic, sharp, and tough) while Anya Taylor Joy continues to grow as an actress. Film is overall a disappointment.

Sully was fantastic and a another great film from Clint Eastwood and Great performance from Tom Hanks. My only real criticism is that it ends abruptly. Other then that it's fantastic.

Magnificent 7 was ok - it's entertaining and well made - but nothing groundbreaking

I liked the original better. Was nice to take my dad to watch since he does like westerns.
