CORRECT. And WAPO FactCheck agrees.
Candy Crowley earned her Democratic merit badge, but is already backtracking on her Benghazi comment.

Continued attention and word parsing on Libya doesn't help Obama....

Also ABC news had a poll that had Obama winning by 70% to 30% which I personally don't think he won by that much- but the biggest testament is go to the blogs, twitters- DEMS are happy and are saying how they are energized this is 360 degree reversal from the 1st debate- Obama clearly won this debate.

All Post-Debate Polls Give Obama Clear Win
Greg Mitchell on October 17, 2012 - 12:08 AM ET
In quite a switch from debate #1, all of the scientific polls afterward gave President Obama a clear win last night.
CNN poll fiound Obama wins debate 46%-39%. Wolf Blitzer, this time, admitted up front that it was 8% skewed to GOP--just like the last two polls. (I hope my hammering at this for past week did some good.) So a big win for Obama, and if you count "skew," a huge edge.
Still, the main headline on the CNN site noted Obama doing well but "Romney Also Strong."
Blitzer then broke down the poll and found bunch of areas where Romney did better on economic issues. But AGAIN mentioned poll skewed GOP by 8%.
The CBS instant poll: Obama wins, with 37%, Romney gets 30%, 33% undecided. It had showed a similar win for Biden last week.
PPP poll of "moderate" voters in Colo.: 63% say Obama won.
Among the pundits: David Gergen gave it slightly to Obama. John King and Steve Schmidt both said Romney got clobbered on Libya. Chris Matthews, of course, scores it almost a shutout for Obama. Schmidt echoes my early tweet that if Obama had done this two weeks ago he'd still be far ahead.
Many pundits saying Obama won but then downplay it, saying probably won't stop Romney "momentum." The view from Nowhere.
David Axelrod denies Obama saved the brutal 47% reference to final minute. Ace blogger Digby tweets: "Fox is fact checking. Shocking that Obama lies about everything. Plus, angry black man."
Obama campaign chief David Plouffe says Romney lied about not wanting to cut access to contraceptives and will use that in ads ASAP. Charles Krauthammer on Fox: Obama "clearly had a good night," Romney very good but Obama "wins on points." Others on Fox and the right complaining about questions, Candy Crowley. Unlike some liberals (such as myself), they refuse to fault Romney's impolite "demeanor."
Chuck Todd: I've seen candidates who do not like each other but these two guys do not RESPECT each other.

If there are any honest fact checkers out there, Obama would go down in flames.

I don't think it was a clear victory for either one. We'll have to wait and see how it plays out. There is still one more debate.

COF, you are an ignorant FOOL! The term "Act of Terror" WAS in the transcript the very next day after the embassy murders! Romney made a fool of himself by relying on Breitbart-like lies for preparation for the debate. It was a HUGE mistake and a big OOPS for his coaches and handlers to supply him with such incorrect information.

Try this one for context, WE: Of course, yesterday was already a painful day for our nation as we marked the solemn memory of the 9/11 attacks. We mourned with the families who were lost on that day. I visited the graves of troops who made the ultimate sacrifice in Iraq and Afghanistan at the hallowed grounds of Arlington Cemetery, and had the opportunity to say thank you and visit some of our wounded warriors at Walter Reed. And then last night, we learned the news of this attack in Benghazi.
As Americans, let us never, ever forget that our freedom is only sustained because there are people who are willing to fight for it, to stand up for it, and in some cases, lay down their lives for it. Our country is only as strong as the character of our people and the service of those both civilian and military who represent us around the globe.
No acts of terror will ever shake the resolve of this great nation, alter that character, or eclipse the light of the values that we stand for.

Thanks, IB. Even Candy Crowley said Romney was right. Here's more:
After the debate, debate moderator Candy Crowley said Republican nominee Mitt Romney was “right in the main” but “picked the wrong word” on the Obama administration’s immediate response to the terrorist attack in Benghazi, Libya, that left four Americans dead.
Crowley interrupted Romney during the debate, insisting that President Obama had in fact called the attack an “act of terror.”
ROMNEY: I want to make sure we get that for the record because it took the president 14 days before he called the attack in Benghazi an act of terror.
OBAMA: Get the transcript.
CROWLEY: It — it — it — he did in fact, sir. So let me — let me call it an act of terror…
OBAMA: Can you say that a little louder, Candy?
CROWLEY: He — he did call it an act of terror. It did as well take — it did as well take two weeks or so for the whole idea there being a riot out there about this tape to come out. You are correct about that.
In a statement given in the Rose Garden on Sept. 12, Obama emphasized an anti-Islam video, before saying that “no acts of terror would shake the resolve of this great nation.”
The administration’s narrative on the attack over the next two weeks was muddled.
On Sept. 16, U.S. Ambassador Susan Rice attributed the attack on the U.S. Consulate to violent protests stemming from a “heinous and offensive” video.
On Sept. 25, the president himself declined to call the attack an act of terrorism during an interview with “The View,” saying that an investigation was still ongoing.
Update (12:22 a.m.): After the debate, “Romney was actually right on Libya” trended on Twitter in the United States:
The Obamatons simply won't admit that Obama lied. On this and other points.

So now you and the Republicans are assuming you know what Obama meant- prove to me when he says :"No act of Terror" that he wasn't referring to what he was alluding too?
This comment is from someone who just posted on the video but we share the same views: After obama brought the speech back to Lybia at the 3:50 mark, OBAMA WAS SAYING THAT NEITHER THIS NOR "ANY ACTS OF TERROR WILL EVER SHAKE THE RESOLVE OF THIS GREAT NATION."
If he had just said "this act of terror" would never shake the resolve of this great nation, you idiot republicans would say. "well what about all the other acts of terror? is this act more significant than other acts?" You all are so predictable.
Note Obama clearly says this act was senseless and that they would bring to justice the killers- if he clearly calls it "senseless violence" how in the fuck can you say that when he used "act of terror" WTF do you think he was talking about?
Typical Republican in denial!!! What a fucking joke you are!!!

The simple fact is that for at least two weeks the President and his administration insisted that the attack was a spontaneous response to a video no one had seen. He said this even though for two weeks he knew it wasn't true.
He lied. Admit it to yourself. Obama is a liar.
Remember the line "I kept all the commitments I made"? Really? Like closing Gitmo? Ending the wars? Transparent government? 5 day preview of bills before they're signed? Etc. and etc. He lied through the whole thing. It was embarrassing. But at least he was awake, and that's a victory for the Obamabots.

You boys are picking nits. The headline reads OBAMA KICKS ROMNEYS ASS. And that's pretty much all people will read.
Good thing they didn't hold that debate in an Ohio soup kitchen...
