I didn't go to Chic's on Hate-A-Gay day, but I do eat there occasionally. I don't eat what I would call mainstream fast food so Chic's Southwest Grilled Chicken salad is a quick meal, high in nutritional value and good so I eat it.

Another thing I know about Chic's is that there is always a line. It can be 3:30 in the afternoon and there's a line at the drive through and the restaurant is full. They only sell a limited number of franchises a year and the experience / capital requirements are quite high. Seems a good business model to me.

I don't care one way or the other about gay marriage. Personally, I think we should have the system they have in most of Europe and in Mexico, who has gay marriage BTW. I think the religious marriage and the civil contract should be separate. The gay haters get to keep their religious marriage "pure" and the gays get a civil union. Everyone's happy.

Because overall there food is quite healthy. Go figure it attracts good looking women that take care of their bodies and their families' bodies.

I was going to say something too, but then he said something about his comment going over heads. I thought that maybe he, unlike others, really was being clever so I left it alone.

Though I don't dig Mr. What's-his-name politics, his mandating a day off for anyone that works for Chic's is pretty cool whatever his motivations are. Everybody needs a scheduled day off.

Olivia please. Hate a gay day??? Do you really think all those people hate gays? What about some of the people who are gay eating there? This had much more to do with free speech and thought. I didn't see any hate there. I saw smiling faces, families, and happy people. Can you imagine, waiting 30 minutes for a sandwich and smiling about it?

The only hate came from the left; Rahm Emmanual, the Mayor of Boston, the Mayor of San Fransisco, the gay activists who inferred what Mr. Cathy said. He never really addressed gay marriage at all if you go back and read both interviews. Of course Friday will tell the story. The hateful left is going to show up looking to start trouble. Anything less than a confrontation does not serve their needs. So they will go out of their way to spark a problem.

This is wtf some of you do not get. You are mad because the government (two mayors) is going after Chic Fil A but you have not a problem one with the owner of Chic Fil A wanting the government to deny gays the right to marry.

WTF is the difference. Both are wrong....or neither.

You first amendment blubber heads are missing the whole point. Yes we have the right to say stupid shit but if you give the government the right to tell us who we can and can not marry, then you ought to give the government the right to tell us who can and can not sell chicken.

Please somebody with half a brain respond with a rational point in defense of the double standard you seem to have on this matter.

Laz, step up to the plate. Tell me why it is ok for Mr Chick Fil A to want government intervention and then people cry like a baby when other want government intervention on him? COG, JD we'd like to hear the Gay POV too. Let us know what you think...

Three mayors at last count WTF. Wait, are you being facetious again? Besides, I don't think we take anything you say too seriously.

Again with the gay waves...you must not be very sure which way your dingle goes.

WE WANT SMALLER GOVERNMENT ... (so lets create a bigger government and make some new laws)

KEEP GOVERNMENT OUT OF OUR LIVES! I DONT WANT THE GOVERNMENT TELLING ME WHAT TO DO OR HOW TO DO IT ! (unless you're a fag)

Sincerely,
The GOP.

I saw one post on here and skipped everything else because I wanted to mention why this is happening. If its been done then fine but this is not about gays or lesbians. This about emanual what's his name telling an American company they can't do business in an American city based only on their beliefs. All my gay and lesbian friends are actually supporting this.

I'm not reading this thread further but I'm about to start another one and tell you exactly what I told an audience yesterday. I'm not arguing politics again of I can help it. Truth be told, I don't care what most of you have to say. Still love u though.

Well I played golf this morning and last I heard it was two but ok, three.

No, saying two mayors instead of three is not funny like saying you eat at Chic Fil A every Sunday is. It is double funny when two retards take you seriously!

You best not get in a serious discussion with me on this matter or oil business matters. I'd prove in short order that God mixed your head and ass up at birth!

dingle???????????? Gawd you really are gay. Sorry JD, I find nothing wrong with gays. I do like to joke around though.

I do think the Chic Fil A supporters hypocrites for not thinking anything wrong with the Chickie owner wanting government to get involved in a personal choice yet crying like clucking chickens when others want the government involved in chicken selling business.

I know you closet gays do not like discussing gay matters but could you try and explain the two faced bullshit in this matter.

WTF does have a problem with gays, or he wouldn't think calling someone gay is an insult.

So now you want to regulate what people think, eh, WDF? A person can advocate, but only government can mandate. Government interference with business is a whole lot different than someone expressing an opinion, in line with his First Amendment rights.

I disagree with him, too. But he has a right to say it. I know you don't like freedom, but that's the way it works.

Chill JD, Chill! It was Hate-a-Gay Day; but I don't hate, and I don't think Mr. Chic is a hater. And you are correct, it was made Hate-a-Gay Day by the far left, but also by the far right. One would think that Mr. Chic has a right to not believe in gay marriage without fear of reprisals, but apparently not. If I were gay would I eat there, maybe, but probably not. I don't think Mr. Chic is militant, but the far right andd left are using his business to grandstand and beat each other about the head and shoulders. I would be SHOCKED if the majority of the people lined up to get into the store weren't righties, homophobes or Republicans.
