She is UNCOMFORTABLE with a session with one that is disabled - that's it. If anyting she is saving them time and money by saying no instead of pursuing something she knows will turn out to be awkward and no good for either one in the end. She's doing them a favour by being honest IMO.

How about another perspective on the matter?

As a hobbyest that does have a mild disability as well as a few scars from an industrial accident a few years ago, I always take the time to explain to a lady just what problems I do have when trying to arrange a meeting. A very few have said that would be uncomfortable in seeing me. To harm at all in that, at least they were honest about it. Doesn't mean that they were not sympathetic to my situation, they just had a preference.

I much prefer the honesty rather than someone that would go through with a meeting and be uncomfortable the entire time.

Well Shayla, think of this from a business perspective. The disabled person will probably get passed on by lots of girls in real life. He is going to be extremely loyal and thankful for his time with a provider, particularly when she treats him like a human being and makes the experience worthwhile.

That means that he will come back again and again over the years and be a profitable and safe client. When she starts to hit that age bracket where things start declining and sagging, he will probably still be there. When she goes through that rough patch where client appointments seems to dry up, he will still probably be there. He will also make referals to help her business out in ways that regular clients would never think of doing.

My point being that a provider who loses out on premium business opportunities is not thinking rationally and doesn't have a good long-term perspective in place.

Never mind the common issues of human compassion which would make her an acceptable person for now.. If she isn't thinking about this from a business perspective, it will come back to bite her later. People fail at business because they don't see the long-term and don't assess their opportunities/threats correctly.

I think people need to realize that this is a business involving all types of people and situations. Not seeing certain people has nothing to do with compassion...this is not Red Cross! It's fking!
