Biden has the authority granted by the Constitution to pardon anybody he pleases that is a defendant in a Federal Case.

This can be a double edge sword. Since Hunter now has immunity in that 10 year span for known or unknown crimes, he can be compelled to testify against other members of the Biden Cartel, since he has no fear of self incrimination. If he refuses, he can be held in contempt, and if he lies, he can be charged with perjury, as both would be “new” crimes.

The future will tell. After all, the Republicans now have the House, The Senate, and the Justice Department.

That's why some have said this pardon could be challenged in court. Because there hasn't been a sentence handed down yet. Even prominent Democrats have come out against Biden for this. A lot of liberals had to do walks of shame on national television for screaming that Biden wouldn't pardon Hunter.

The usual suspects here celebrating this forget that now Hunter loses his fifth amendment right. He can no longer refuse to answer questions or he gets more charges. Any normal citizen would have been in federal prison for wire fraud, money laundering, tax evasion, the list goes on....
