First off we don't burn saudi oil, we refine it into useable products.
And I assume "we" could do that with "our oil", produced by American workers? Democrats biggest problem with this issue, is that they can not exlain how producing more American oil is better for climate change than Saudi Arabia producing that same amount. You can not explain that to the American people no matter how you dress it up.
Sometimes in a global market saudi oil is cheaper to refine because of the type of oil. Gas refineries like lots of light sweet crude because of its low sulfur content. Heavier oils go to making things like plastics.
Second, it doesn't matter much in a global market. Any increase in supply should lower raw material costs.
I agree, so why doesn't America produce more? Could it be because this President and this Democrat party has waged war on American oil and gas, telling investors to stop investing in American oil and gas production?
Gas refining is increasing, but US refineries are at near max capacity. Refineries aren't built overnight, they take years and are huge investments
Which this President and this Democrat party have discouraged and where ever possible, banned.
and refining is a very low profit oil industry activity. There are more profitable activities to invest in. Nobody wants a refinery in their neighborhood, just like they don't want a jail built near them.

I hope every Democrat uses that in their ads for the upcoming elections.
