The attached article states that as many as 85% of the people in this country need to be vaccinated to reach herd immunity. There is no assurance that getting Covid means you can't get it again in the future. No one knows how long the antibodies last. My son got a rather severe case of Covid and has now gotten the vaccine.

The estimate for the Pfizer vaccine that I took is 95% effectiveness and if I do get Covid it will be much milder than had I not been vaccinated.



And isn't that in effect the only thing that really matters, fewer hospitalizations and deaths. From what I read the majority of people like Bill Mahr, who got vaccinated and has now tested positive for Covid, will remain asymptomatic.


In Texas the other day there were no deaths from Covid. The number of Covid cases was the lowest in about a year.


32.8% of Texans have been vaccinated. No deaths, lowest cases in a year, sounds like herd immunity to me because of all those with natural antibodies.


As the number of people in this country (and other countries where the vaccination rate is high like Israel and Great Britain) getting the vaccines increase, the Covid infection rate is dropping dramatically. The vaccines work.

Not sure whether you missed my point or just flat out rejected it.


Vaccinated people plus people with antibodies will get us to herd immunity. Herd immunity is not based on vaccinations only.


Vaccines appear to work and natural antibodies seem to work...... for now.

I wouldn't say "at a significant rate". The risk of dying from the vaccine is on par with winning a lottery, of course I rate my risk of dying from COVID at even longer odds.

The way I look at it eventually EVERYBODY, or at least almost everybody is either going to get the vaccine, actually get COVID, or in some cases BOTH and that will fit everyone's definition of herd immunity.

Ok, even then I doubt Fauci is going to admit that it will be safe to come out of our basements, but everyone without an axe to grind will have to admit the pandemic is behind us at that point

When the vaccine is administered the recipient doesn't have the virus in it's active form or shouldn't anyway. Nobody really knows what the short or long term effects will be especially a Vaccine that is really untested and in it's initial stages. This vaccine could have a debilitating effect on some bodily systems years later and nobody would or could identify the connection. With Medications a person can simply stop taking them with vaccines they can't be removed from the body.

This statement is wholly inaccurate. First of all vaccines and medications are normally removed from the body over a short period of time. They can have semi or permanent effects on the body but the actual vaccines and medications don't stick around. The body will eventually purge them. The claim that the Covid-19 vaccination shots have killed more people than all the other vaccines in the last 20 years combined is also provably false.
