Still think this guy and his family wasn't vetted. Too many similarities between him and Rep Omar.
Still don't understand how he got his hands on an AR. Have you been to Academy? No Ammo. Very, very few guns. And the guys psycho so how'd he pass a bg check?
Who's this mystery person the FBI has their eyes on?
Bet if this guy was an Oath Keeper he'd of been in Solitary 2 months ago.

Big box stores aren't the best representation out there. Local pawn shop by me that's very gun-centric gets new AR's in every day. And every time I'm in Cabela's or Bass Pro there's someone in there picking up an AR they bought online. They just don't have any to line the walls with.
Otherwise, with the current supply, price inflation, and demand, there's fair odds he could have bought it in the walmart parking lot.
Shit, since I moved to Texas, I've bought half the guns I own in the Torchy's Tacos parking lot.

Amazing how the Dems get their panties all wadded up over these shootings. Hell 10 people is a slow weekend in Chicago and Illinois has some of the strictest gun laws in the country. And of course they have a Dem mayor along with Detroit, Baltimore, NY, St Louis Kansas City, Memphis, etc 20 Dem cities account for over 10,000 homicides each year. Chicago refused Trump's offer for help. Their famous citizen Obama moved to New England to help

This certainly explains why it's pointless, to try and ban retail gun sales.
They'll just move to the parking lot.

"Supposedly the FBI had him on a "watch list." Glad they focused resources on a volatile and explosive Roger Stone instead of this guy".
The FBI knew about Cruz the Parkland shooter weeks before that shooting. But they were busy illegally investigating Trump's campaign

that's not why its pointless to ban retail gun sales
its pointless, ergo has no logical point, because that would only increase crime and gun violence as criminals would be further undeterred

The suburbs around Chicago do not have strict gun laws...
And Republicans lost their minds over 4 dead in Benghazi.
So each side seems to pick and choose their outrage.

WD - you are correct
'w' - is in error about gun laws around and in chicago.
Evanston, Ill. has some of teh strictest in teh nation - and is one of teh most diehard liberal DPST enclaves in America.
does not change the weekly handgun carnage in Chicago at all.

Because they don't care about blacks or latinos unless they're killed by a white person.
Gang shooting kills 7? bump on the local evening news and that's it.
I shoot a black guy in self defense? National news coverage and 60% of the internet dedicates their week to make sure I lose my job.

And your ability to ever get a job. All your money. They will research you from birth! And they'll still want your freedom!

In order to buy a Firearm or Ammo in Illinois you must present a License of sorts called a FOID (Firearm Owner Identification) Card. Upon any Firearm or Ammo Purchase the card is swiped sending your purchase info to a state database. Illinois is not a firearm friendly state.

That's nothing. The FBI followed the two Garland Terrorists from Phoenix to Garland,TX where they tried to shoot up the place with AR15s. An offduty cop stopped them with a handgun. The FBI witnessed everything, did nothing, and drove off.

That's for the law abiding. The Chicago gang bangers don't play that.

Can confirm, except about the swipe part, unless that's new in the last 3 years. Usually places selling ammo just check to see if you have one and that it's not expired. Gun sales they check a state website to confirm it's still valid.
No, not a friendly state at all. But the only people who care are the ones in Springfield who want absolute control, and the suburban mothers in and around Chicago.
Much like the alcohol prohibition 100 years ago, people in Chicago don't really give a shit about gun laws and carry/own anyway.
There's also a reason the southern half of the state wants to secede and join kentucky.

Anyone seen the "hue" of the 10 people he killed? Also, the media is portraying the guy as a bullied thoughtful Muslim even though he beat somebody up in High School and threaten the lives of the HS wrestling team. TDS is a valid mass murder defense!
I wonder if the guy the FBI is watching is involved in a local mosque. We haven't heard the term "self-radicalized" in the Biden administration.
