There is no vaccine yet and certainly no "Cure" and probably never will be considering it's a virus.

So that leaves it to simple public health measures such as hygiene,masks,distancing,early testing,and contact tracing.

Those countries that did well dealt with it honestly and scientifically for what it was and in a responsible manner.

That was sharp the way you got in your immigration barb by trying to blame contact tracing failure on "can't control the border".

To put into effect the above mentioned public health measures one of the central tenets is to get the public on board with a concerted well directed program.

That does not allow for the lied to bullshit and the erratic impulsive actions of a president solely focused on his political future.

You notice Tiny pointed out that these countries did better with the virus while at the same time thriving economically.

We did not have to have our ass kicked economically as bad as we have if Trump had dealt with the virus better.

We are a smart,rich,technologically advanced,medically well supported nation and we are well down on the scale of the Covid response list.

Far outdone by what Trump would call shithole countries.

If what your Dr. is saying is true then why is the reported total of deaths (for any reason) around 300k more than usual this year? And that is so far, 2 more months to go. I have no doubt that if someone has some pre existing condition that getting covid isn't very good for them health wise. But if they didn't get covid they probably would have been just fine and lived out their life.

Trump had no control over what measures Governor's put in place but that's a part of your narrative you don't want to admit. Maybe, maybe Trump could have foreseen a Novel Corona Virus never before seen and maybe could have prophesized how devastating it could be to the older, sicker population. I'm amused how after telling us that Trump is the dumbest man on the planet, that we shouldn't believe him when he bragged to Woodward that he knew how bad it would be when Fauci didn't know how bad it would be. We know the man is a braggart and not to be believed, well, except this one time I suppose.

Europe’s new coronavirus wave may be worse than the first.


With new Covid-19 cases rising exponentially across the European continent and hospitals once again filling up, leaders are turning back to social distancing mandates and business closures to halt the spread of the virus.


There are curfews across England, Spain, Belgium, and France, stricter masking requirements in Greece and Switzerland, while the Czech Republic is effectively in lockdown again, closing most non-essential businesses, as are Wales and Ireland. Here in the Austrian capital, where people can be seen panic-hoarding toilet paper again, Chancellor Sebastian Kurz has warned of a “challenging autumn and winter” ahead. The country’s new anti-virus measures include capping the size of public gatherings, while one particularly hard-hit town in the Salzburg area, Kuchl, has shut down.


“How could we possibly be here again?” Clare Wenham,an assistant professor of global health policy at the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE), asked of the UK,where the death rate from Covid-19 is among the highest in the world.
