A comment was made about "Hate Crimes' - something in vogue these days. Are hate crimes equal protection under the law?
"Hate crime" adds more severe penalties to a conviction of a crime against a "Minority group" as defined by DPST Plantation politics. -ie - LBGTQ, black, hispanic, or anyone who is not a white male.
This is its' own form of discrimination against a "Non-Minority" group of people
Do hate crime sentences deter crime - Show me proof of that. I doubt it.
This legislation singles out by omission a group of people for lesser protection under the Law.
The Law should apply equally to All without differences on race, color, creed, sexuality, etc.
I believe these laws to be un-Constitutional.
It is often seen that those who protest vehemently against an activity - be it whatever - are often those very attracted to and indulging in that very activity - usually a forbidden One.
After accusing Trump of homosexuality (laughter) - and negative comments about gays - I wonder about SomeOne.

"Equal protection" doesn't mean equal treatment.
The protection one receives under the "hate crime" rubric is the requirement of the government to prove an additional element to the office that aggravates/elevates the charge to a higher punishment range. It's the same with many assault crimes for which additional elements are required to be proven to increase the punishment levels. The same also with theft crimes. That's the "equal protection" as it is applied in that context.

Trump was born gay. I wasn't making fun of him for being gay. Moscow Ellen is the gay basher on here not me. I merely pointed out there were those he believes he is homosexual. I think its pretty obvious based on his interactions with Alpha Males

It would be a violation of rules to speculate about about a poster's sexual identity issues.

I'd have to say yes.
can't have exceptions for others not of the common man.
we've seen people with money get a way with things that people lacking means can't do.
ex. rich guy kills someone. should be executed, but instead goes to jail.
