Lets say a moat was installed since that is the only idea you have offered besides barbed wire. How would that stop a tunnel and how about in the hill country? How about creeks and rivers? No, but it proved the point that a wall will not work. How long do you think the wall needs to be and how tall or how deep? And again how would you control Irrigation, Migration rapid changes in elevation? You could get over a wall with a Hang Glider in some spots.

As for the tunnels. I've seen many news reports on underground sensors, like banks have installed, to DETECT tunneling into their vault, same with seismographs and the like. SO i have OFTEN Railed about why have not border patrol used that tech to find all these tunnels..

they are using other technology to detect tunnels. I think the problem is it not very good and also cumbersome depending on the terrain and geology the tunnels are in.

the Israelis apparently have some type of technology that they've used to detect and destroy Hamas tunnels successfully.
