Let it be known that I have not once issued points for hijacking. We mods have discretion when it comes to some of the gray area guidelines. I choose to use mine to interpret the hijacking guideline extremely narrowly. So narrowly, in fact, that I do not recall an instance where I felt it applicable.
As in the real world conversations ebb and flow and flit from one topic to another naturally. If it devolves into personal attacks there are other applicable guidelines that come into play to keep it "civil" (or what passes for civil around here anyway
l). I view it as a sign of a healthy community and normally one can follow the thread and see how the conversation got from one place to another. No harm, no foul. People should put their big boy pants on and just ignore the shit they don't like instead of pounding the RTM button waiting for mods to censor other members.
